I could really care less about this actually. Haven't owned a PS1 or PS2 so I don't have many games. Besides, I buy a game system for new games, not old ones.
The only reason this interest me for the 360 is because if I get one I can sell my old Xbox and stuff and help pay for the 360.

Anyway, as I said the disk space for the games is what concerns me. It'll take 5 360 disk to equal 1 PS3 Blue-ray disk.
I know what you're thinking too about changing disk. Well damnit I want my games on 1 disk and I don't want to switch ever other level I beat.

yeah the fact alone that a Ps3 game can have 5 times the content that an Xbox360 game can have alone makes me want to buy it. 5 times, can you imagine a game that takes over a year to finish? They will be able to do that, if they could take a 2 GB disk for FFX and that would take well over 100 hours to finish, i can only imagine what they can do with 50 GBs of space.

This is what I don't want though for the 360.

Opening scene, change disk.
First level, change disk.
Opening scene second level, change disk.
Second level, change disk.

While on the PS3 you get it all on one disk.
I know, I'm lazy but I don't care. I don't want to change the damn disk.

I can't understand why M$ is using HD-DVD instead of something with more space, that is the single thing I have against the Xbox 360. IMO it looks like a total reversal of roles from this generation. This generation PS2 had all kinds of good games and dominated the market, but as time went on Xbox got good games and the technology superiority really showed. I think Xbox 360 will be dominant for a few years with a lot of good games, but PS3 will really show its tech later on.

Everything is switching to HD. it was sony dirty little plan since they control what consoles play on. xbox cant compete with that.

The price for the 360 is crazy and the PS3 will be even higher. I don't think either is worth the price they're asking.

My guess is that if it wasn't for the xbox or dreamcast, they ps would not be half as good today.

Saw an Xbox360 in EB games yesterday, some guy was playing Call of Duty, and I really never saw anything exciting either. It was a pre-release version of the Xbox, however, even though i plan on getting PS3, I think i might consider xbox360 for the sake of PGR.

I think I mihgt have to get the 360. I didn't want to get it at first because I was going to get the ps3, but god knows how long it will actually take the ps3 to come out.

PLUS. I haven't seen any games playing on the actual ps3 machine. The sony "hype-machine" is one of the best so don't believe everthying you see, and here. I do think the games will look better, but I'm not convinced that the difference will be substantial till' I see some solid proof.

I'm also worried about the price of the ps3, and I'm also worried about the format. If blu-ray ends up becoming top format then It will be a good thing, but if not I'll have to buy an hd-dvd player too becauase sony decided NOT to work that in. Will games still cost $50 even?

I've always been a playstation "fanboy", but I'm worried about sony being able to fully deliver. I may very well just buy a 360.

Get both? I get the xb360...then my little brother gets the ps3.....since i have a xbox and he has a ps2 already.......................hmmmmm.....double fun. Who knows maybe even triple fun if Nintendo decides to show up.

Price isn't really an issue, not if your a little bit smart.

Only an idiot buys a consol when its first released.
If you wait 6months you can get them at a far more reasonable price, and there is a good selection of new release games to play.
