do what schister said turbo the damn thing it is a lot cheaper than a engine swap and you can gain huge power from it. plus it's cheaper.

to answer the original question. for more rpm. chip the ecu witha skunk 2 program. d series engines have a lot a potential. who ever says they dont smokes crack. i had a d series running at 31/2 cylinders, (3 of 4 said about 100 psi and 1 said 50psi. ) and i was smokin people left and right. if u get an old engine and bring it back to stock specs before building on it ull get a lot better results with ur car.thats what iv done with all my engines
