Pioneer has always been good to me. The price/quality is to me the best vs. any other brand.

Re: new head unit

I have we have an Eclipse Dealer here in Boise. I really like them. They sound great. Actually was looking in to getting some but I decided on the Polk Momo instead.

Matching head unit and amps is more important than matching speakers. The reason being that many brands of head units and amps are compatible to do other things togeather. I matched Kenwood head unit and amps so that I can control all the amp features from my head unit (up to 7 amps at the same time...its awsome). If you are looking at speakers, Kicker has been nothing but platinum to me. They have a huge selection of various price ranges, and not only do they make an awsome woofer, they make the BEST component system on the market today...hands down.

I have seen/heard Eclipse woofers, they were nice...but opted to go with Kicker because they have dominated the market for years.
