Re: AE86 vs. Celicas

A jamaican friend of mine owns an rx-7. Annoying ass, bc he always insisted that Rx-7 is the best all-around car just to do anything from drifting to drags...but I gotta admit that his car is pretty fun to drive. Last night I rented "initial D" dvd from a local asian rental. Its produced by hongkong moviemakers w/ pretty chinese actors acting as Japanese...soooo lame. Nonetheless, the racing scenes are tight as hell. WTF, dude in the "tofu-car" ae86 got a cup of water inside his car while drifting/racing a GTR- thus creating this whirling water effect in the cup bc of the drift weight shifts.... :O

Re: AE86 vs. Celicas

yea rx7's are great for drifting as long as your's doesn't catch on fire. I have 2 friends with 87 rx7s and they both caught on fire a number of times. Oh and you rented Initial D live action. Try the anime first. You can get it from any movie store. Also...it's a game in some arcades. The game is so much better than the anime.

Re: AE86 vs. Celicas

hmmm. Why would rx-7's so easily caught on fire? Thats really funny to imagine. But I also heard that old VW beetles caught fires a lot. I actually like the recent rx-7s. They look great too, but it would rip my pocket to fill up @ the station. Theres initial D comics...looks like a decent time-killer. But when it comes to racing games, Ill stick to GT-4
