Re: Exhaust manifold

I'm not tring to start a fight but everyone that posted in this thread with ACTUAL experience with ssautocrome has been positive. My manifold is fine after over a year of use, my brother just got one and it looks great (not on his car yet). I think most people say they are shit cause it's cheap. I'm gonna go on my own experience. Maybe everyone just gives em a bad rap cause they realized they could have gotten a manifold for 1/4 the price.

Very true. I don't see a problem with off brand parts as long as they perform. As far as I can tell, the ssautochrome performs very well on my friends Talon.

Re: Exhaust manifold

The manifold looks like it should flow awesome, but damn is that intercooler kit expensive. I think it would be cheaper to get something like this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FRONT...temZ8009670108

Then, I'd get some 3" piping and do it myself. Thats just how I would do it though.

Re: Exhaust manifold

A lot of people get ripped off from the EBAY manifolds since they say lifetime warranty BUT its against factory defects NOT cracks !!! Well I saw on SSautochrome its says against cracks so i would personally buy it since its says its made from stainless steel and lifetime warranty against cracks so its sound good. Also the design looks cool and its not that expensive. Cheap doesnt mean its crap.
Example. B&M short shifter VS Ebay replica ... no complains so far about broken shifters or broken gearboxes. Also same thing with many blow off valves vs say Greddy Type-S replica $70 vs Greddy Type-S $220. If it gets the job done and it looks good well BUY IT. Most times people pay a lot for the name brand not the product itself.

Good luck choosing. Also that intercooler looks good but its expensive. Maybe you can find a used or cheaper install kit. My friend bought an intercooler from EBAy and he is very happy with it.

Re: Exhaust manifold

They have a warranty? Lol. And how are you going to hold them to it?

I don't hate ssautocrap cause of their parts quality which many people have said is crap, but some have said is fine. I hate them because they are INCREDIBLY RUDE to people. I posted a bunch of their quotes in their feedback to customers in another thread. Along the lines of "you're a sniveling bitch" etc. Maybe it's just me but I would NEVER do business with someone like that. Go into a grocery store: customer "I had a bad experience with your shampoo." Manager "go fuck yourself." Lol, they would be out of business within 5 days but its the internet soooo...

I was always told to be cautious when dealing with E-bay cores. thats what i want to do, make my own pipeing kit... i want to try my best to keep my Foggs to, i LOVE them. but if thats a good core, let me know, and i'll be all over it!

With a Front mount, i need a new Radiator right? a local friend of mine said if you dont change the radaitor with a frontmount, you'll defiantly get crankwalk from overheating, he said something about getting a "Celcious..." i dont remember exactly what its called, but one like whats stock on the EVO.

But that OBX manifold is good? you think a Trial wastegate will fit that Sh*t??? lol. i want it... and i want it NOW!!!

Re: Exhaust manifold

I don't see any reason why you would need a new radiator if you get a front mount. I have never heard of anyone gettin CW from overheating. lol The CW is caused by something with the excessive use of the clutch in the 7 bolts. I guess they can't handle the abuse or something, I donno. Thats why I'm gonna start building up a 6 bolt and then just drop it in the car when its finished.

From what I can see, the wastegate should bolt right up to that manifold. Its a 40mm wastegate, right? It sounds good and all but like Eclipse4ever said, the warrenties don't usually cover cracking. On that OBX it says:

"Lifetime warranty from manufacturer defects."

If it cracks, your screwed unless you can or know someone who can weld stainless for ya. Personally, I have a friend who can weld anything for me, so I'd buy it. But, thats just me. lol

That's the one I've been planing on getting. A lot of people have run them on our cars. There are threads with pics etc over on tuners. Seems like a damn good deal to me.
