Different is good, but not that. It should have kept most of the original lines and improved. Its not just this car thats getting screwed.

Maybe you are so accustomed to the old styling that this new era is fugly to your "NO YOULL RUIN IT IF IT DOESNT HAVE THAT AWESOME SQUARE WIDE BODY LOOK" ass.....build yourself a time machine. I personally think the car is bad ass I would like to see what it would look like with the CF under the headlights being full metal(silver) rather than the CF. If a car looks even 60% as good as you wanted it to and it out handles anything and has a good Power to Weight ratio stock. I think that makes up for a cars looks even though I like eveything thus far about the car.

its too bad it will most likely get its ass handed to it by the Z06. someone should have sabatoged that whole design process so the skyline could win. lol stupid chevy.

Why would you ay the Z06 is better? The whole point of the Skyline is that it kills everything. :-P It's always been that way.

again, this is only a prototype, not the final production. I think they will tone it down a bit, and maybe take out the Carbon Fiber. CF = expensive!

Apparently alot of the panels will be carbon fiber.

I don't understand why people stick up for the VQ so much. I have nothing against the VQ, but will this car really be a Skyline without an I-6. It has been an I-6 since from the beginning I believe. It just doesn't seem right to change it. I don't even think it should stay RB, but I do think Nissan should develope a new I-6. Please, there has to be someone that agrees with me.

PS: the Z06 owns. I think it looks rad too. And it will be a lot cheaper than the Skyline. Best bang for the buck.

Its the difference between being Nostalgic and Fast...

Technically you could make the Skyline faster by using a big displacement V-8 like the Z06's. So I geuss be happy they didnt stray further from the skylines "heritage".

PS: the Z06 owns. I think it looks rad too. And it will be a lot cheaper than the Skyline. Best bang for the buck.

dude, cars are made by companies to generate profit. " heritage, its always been like that" are not a factor in making a car. Nissan, like all smart companies are trying to make a generate mass cars that share many common denominators such as the VQ motor to reduce the production and engineering cost. So yeah, say bye bye to the I6. why would you make a whole new motor for just one car? The SKYLINE, the car that might "at best" be like 2% off all the car sales Nissan makes. No way, VQ is already made, use it.

Ps, I worked on my friends 350Z and man, that thing is hard to work on, and all we did is an air intake !! lol

I like that GT-R very much. Not bad at all. Much more aggressive and sportier than the G/R35.

Did the RB go in anything else?

Monoxide, I would much rather have the car looking boxier, yet sleeker. It looks like a new Z with a few changes. Not much thought went into this car.

No, the RB was exclusive to the Skyline. Nut as far as companies making developing a new motor for one car, The new Z06 has a new motor that no other car shares. It is also hand built. The Dodge Viper is the same way (the SRT-10 pickup is a joke). The Skyline used to be that way. Most super cars are that way. I even think the motor in the NSX is that way (although don't quote me on that). I don't know, but I can't imagine Chevy makes much money on the Z06, and I know Honda/Acura didn't make money on the NSX. Sometimes it's all about the reputation building a competitive supr car can get you rather than the profit it will generate from sales.
