Re: Skyline GT-R Proto Reference Pics...

It will definitely be sold in the US but I think the word they are using is North America so Canada should get some too.

Yah, it's OK, not a massive fan. I'll wait to see what Top Secret do to it...

The rear window looks as if it were taken straight from a Ford Maverick. I'll like it a lot more when I get a kit of it from Tamiya (That I likely won't build based on my track record for 2005! )

Re: Skyline GT-R Proto Reference Pics...

It seems like the designers might've tried too hard to make it look like the last GT-R but also have it succeed the V35 Skyline. I think its cool and all but mebbe if they put a bit more realism into it, it'd be better. for example, no production car has that much exposed CF, no production car has the bumper and fenders meet that far back into the body, no production has that fugly of a greenhouse, etc. For a car that's should be out for 2007, they got some stuff to clean up. However, i see a badass production car comin outta this concept and i think if someone took an R34 and a V35 kit, a pretty cool What-Nissan-Should-Do kinda model could be made

The front end has elements of the recent Eclipse concept car.

Ugly... too much of a radical change. the car looks almost nothing like the beautiful Skyline of the past. too much concept and not enough tradition.

When's the Infiniti version coming out

Re: Skyline GT-R Proto Reference Pics...

Personally I friggin LOVE it. The c-pillar and roofline is like the 350z, only it works better because of the shape of the quarter panel. Those who know me know I have no particular love for ANY Skyline made in the last 20 years, but I've fallen in love with this thing.

FWIW, the black area in the a-pillar, and many of the other small details, are actually carbon fibre and will likely be body colour on the production version. The a-pillar kinda threw me off as well, but I think it'll look a lot better with normal colour.
