How fast a firebird formula or trans am?

Should be 155mph. It's where the speedo stops, and I know plenty of folks who have been up there in an F-Body.

My friends dad had a '95 LT1 Camaro Z28. They took the Camaro to Vegas, the family did... the four of them crusing in the Camaro. Everybody passed out while his dad drove, he woke up to the sound of the motor humming.

From the back seat he saw the speedo pegged... dad just cruising along. Family of four... 155mph.

you said that, l asked this question 3 times before and why l am keep asking you do not understand. Man, l couldnt get exact answer when l asked and thats why l asked here. cuz l am crious. l wanna know how fast my car is. l used to race many times but in my country and sometimes l got in trouble, and l do not wanna get in trouble in america. thats why l cannot, drive fast and test my car's speed.
you guys are always racing, and l thought maybe you would know and let me know. and thnx for your all answers.

About mustang;
yesterday l was on yahoo messenger and in a room people were talking about mustangs and l started to talk about firebirds.and they said that, firebirds were a piece of shit. and they cannot be as fast as mustangs. my wife is working for ford motor company as a dealer operation manager. but she told me, firebirds are faster than mustangs. lt1 can beat 2003 mustang GTs maybe even 2004, but not 2005 she said. she said ls1 engine might beat 2005. yesterday l heard that those guys were talking about this, and l wanted to ask you guys. cuz l beated a mustang too.

by the way l said, 15 second. man l wasnt looking at my watch. it was atoo short and l just guess. but keep loughing, maybe you will look more handsome to your girls..

All depends on the year of the GT. The pre 99s you should beat, against the 99-04 would be a good race, and the '05 GT will walk a stock LT1, given equal drivers, etc.

If you use Google I'm sure you could find the top speed of your car, I'd guess it's in the 150s.

edit: screw top speed... you are retarded if you just want a car to go 150mph in. Any car can do that given the right gearing and that they aren't shaped like a barn.

You are more than welcome to ask whatever you want. Just as I am allowed to ask you why you have asked a couple times. You cleared it up for me, so we are good there.

Still not sure why you need to know the top speed so badly? If you aren't going to be going that fast, why does it matter.
Either way, it should be right around 155 MPH if your gears are stock.
Most races don't go to that speed though. Hell, most barely make it to 100 MPH. That is why I am more concerned with acceleration than top speed.

man, l raced with a guy and it was just like 15 seconds l said. it was too short, cuz l stopped. cuz l didnt wanna give my licence to a cop.

It's not cool to have mustang guys walk all over you pretending their 4.6 can somehow out-muscle a 5.7. Even if he won't race him he'd prolly like to have alittle reassurance when he says:

"STFU my camaro will walk all over your displacement challenged horse."

nothing wrong with that.

BTW I have a few beefs with the comparrison... I think the LS1 is faster than an 05 GT, it's pretty close, but most stock 05 GTs are putting down 255ish RWHP. LS1s easily dyno in the low 300's stock. Don't be confused by the fact that they're both factory rated at 300.

And as for Luos >>>>> Cobra... not so much.

Luos has a bad ass ride, no denying that. He can probably walk any cobra before 03 considered it's stock or slightly modded, but stock 03-04s are dynoing 374... I saw it on an episode of HPTV and I can link you if you'd like. The cobra might be heavier, I'm not even really sure about that, but they're pretty much neck and neck. With some small "do it yourself" upgrades and less than 600 bucks you can turn that into a 427 dyno that would crush most n/a F-bodies.

that doesnt apply for me, most of my races are clearly past 100mph
