Was reading back though some old threads looking for info and found this thread. It's so much true yet again about how this place is rocking.

It seems like the word is getting around that this is a great place for info etc.

Welcome again to all the new people who have found us here.

Great bunch of guys here and i dont think Jay or myself have had to warn anybody about the way they are acting here etc.

Thanks for making this your "home" at AF

Thanks again

PMan

Thumbs up Forum for us.

Kudos to all involved! Those of us who are not into the mainstream NASCAR, Muscle Cars etc., like me, really enjoy it. There is no room for flaming here, it's suppose to be about passion for the automobiles and the replicas we can render from them. Everyone has there own taste, skill level and interest to put on display. I may not be into a particular subject that I'm viewing yet a part of it might give me an idea, an inspiration or present a challenge for me to try something new. The modeling subculture and AF RULES!!! Model companies get a clue! The future of the hobby rests on the members of this board and those still in search of it, that are of the same ilk!

Honey, I'm home!!!

Indeed Warren, its going from strength to strength isn't it?

As you say no one has been warned coz we all get on very well and i think thats is because we all have very similar tastes in our model making - particularly imports. That's what i love about this forum!

You can say that again! I'm completely blown away by this site. Just found it recently through a link Veyron posted to the galleries. There's a ton of talent here, and it shows. I've spent tons of time on the Hobby Heaven board, and I'm really glad to find this one since the models here are exactly the stuff I'm interested in now, and have been all along. If you've seen a lot of my models there, realize many of them were built a long time ago. I like cars of all kinds, but I'm always into what's new and exciting.

I'm EXTREMELY impressed with this board and the people on it, for the same reasons listed by Veyron. Not to mention I'm one who gets tons of inspiration seeing models of subjects I really like, which abound here. You can see why Veyron is one of my best friends in the world. While I may be older than the majority here, my mindset is definitely far from the Old Fart Crowd, at least I hope so. I've had fun w/imports and tuners since I was in college 20 years ago. While others in my generation grew up with muscle cars or domestic stuff, I grew up in a family open to imports...we had many (and many were horrible cars). So that's why when it comes to new cars, I just don't identify w/domestics, nor the billboard advertising going around in circles known as NA$CAR. If it's a newer American car, unless it's a Viper, Corvette, Mustang or F Body I probably pay no attention to it.

Yeah, this site ROCKS! Glad to see this site populated by a crowd the domestic kit manufacturers have pretty well ignored up until the Revell Integra came out. I'm impressed too with the quality of the builds, heck-my models from my late teens and twenties looked like complete crap compared to all the ones I see here! I'm happy to pass along tips/techniques to anyone that asks. No secrets to good modeling, the best part is helping somebody out and seeing the results first hand.

Yeah, this is definitely my top rated forum on the web. I'm still as excited as I was back in February when I first came here.

Let me first Thank Veyron for turning me on to this great board. I to was getting very tired of NASCAR and hotrods and musclecars at the HH Mesage Board. My dad took me to the US Grand Prix and Can-Am at Watkins Glen when I was a kid, after that it was sports and formula cars for me for ever. My childhood heros were Dan Gurney and Bruce Mclaren so that is where my model building passions have gone. I love F1,WRC,GT and Lemans and all types of Touring cars and this board is just what I nedded to see. I realy like all the Tuners too, so I guess I will have to build one soon. God Bless All.

The webmaster of pcmodeler.com said to me to have a look around here. There are some good F1 sites etc, but no site is really specialised in rally, GT or TOCA. So I thought, I'll have a look and .... wow, the well known level of information sharing amongst plastic modelers, was just as present as in the 'non-cyber-world'!
Although I just recently signed in, I feel already a bit part of this club. In fact very much so, that I'm thinking of leaving the local hobby club - these guys only talk about airplanes and armors and laugh with cars and motorcycles modelers, kind of the IPMS elite :rocket: - because I feel this is the club!!!
Everybody talks the same "language" and I have the feeling that after 25 years of plastic modeling, this is a place where I can certainly learn again a couple of tricks - not so in the local hobby club :finger:

Although I spend some time myself on developing the Automotomover site, I'm happy to have found this spot on the web!

It really rocks, especially with AC/DC playing on the background.

I have to say that finding this site is the worst thing that has happened to my bank balance since buying the skyline .

YOU GUYS ROCK.

the new newbies are brining in some fresh ideas and some VERY VERY tidy models, I hope this keeps up and we can see some more outrageous projects in the future.
