Haha nice...

Ah don't worry guys, I only spend an average of maybe 10-15 minutes on it per day - just while web pages load on this slow ass 56K....

It's OK...admit that you spend 10-15 hours on it. We'll help you overcome your problems.

The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem.

Hey now, it's a highly intellectual game of logic! I'd like to see how many others can beat it on 18x18x99!

Well, you see, playing minesweeper is like making love to a beautiful woman. You push the right buttons, and hope to make it to the end without blowing too early.

that WAS quite funny... good one.

however, I'd like to know how fast you can beat the expert mode. I've beaten it with a time of 165. I posted a thread about it but I got razzled even more than you.

It's a game which takes quick thinking and logic. It may not be kill kill kill, murder murder murder, but if you enjoy using your brain, its a good game.

I'll have to try the 17x17x99.

I'm sure I can beat it on the first try.

(sike... but I will try it)

That sounded like a challenge. So I went and set myself a new record of 145

Sorry.

You're right - it is a good challenge for the brain. It also tests your pattern recognition (which I believe is actually one of the components of IQ) - once you have some experience, you can blast through it quickly not necessarily by solving it all, but by recognizing the patterns of many of the mines.

17x17x99 so far is impossible for me - I've only gotten down to 72 mines remaining so far. 18x18x99 was a joke compared with this...

Re: YES! Finally...

Good gried mark.

I think you need a night of drugs, drink and sex with Oz.
Then try the 17x17x99 grid!
