I think everybody just needs to realize that when comparing honda's you must compare them with other hondas to determine if they are fast. I agree my car is not one of the fastest cars made and that stock mustangs are "faster", but they also have twice the engine as I do...and if I wante a mustang, caprice, camaro.....I would buy one. Why did they ever make the Ford Topaz?

Hondas just dont stand up their is no debate. If you factor in insurance my area it is cheaper to have a 99 GT stang then a 99 SI. If you like your car thats great please dont put it on a pedastal it didnt earn.

You said its ok to call it fast next to another honda well it still is slow. If you want to say maple sap is fast next to forming of the earth sure but in the context of life both are slow.

Using motor size is the oldest and most played out ricer excuse next to my neons drained my battery. You tried to negate my fair comparssion of two cars both sports cars in the same price range by bringing a bike into the mix.

Your car isn't fast its ok deal with it. As I said if you like it fine more power to you but still its nothing worth bragging about.

If you compare to cars in its class the hondas just dont stack up there is no way around it.

They have just as or higher insure rates then other cars its classed with.

Compare the civic to "sport compacts" the TSI/GST/GSX trouces it the SER *well older ones* are faster.

The Si fails vs real sports cars and falls even farther behind compared to cars like the mustang and the camaro.

The only reason to get this is the fact you like hondas more then XXXX that is THE ONLY reason all others are void.

I own a honda *still =(* was a good DD till i found the SCCA. I now daily my truck as its cheaper to fuel and insure then my hatch.
