i used to like F1

team orders have always been a debate

but the loss of slicks has made the sport worse .. yes the cars can drive upside down (theoretically due to the downforce produced) but since losing slicks they have to put up with dirty air meaning wind turbulance and less overtaking as a result

First of all, I totally support the decision. ferrari have lost the championship by a handful of points for three years in a row, they are not taking any chances and I wouldn't want them to lose.
But it wouldn't have made any differance if MS did finish second......you bloody MS fan :finger: :finger: :finger: :finger: :finger: ...j/k

slicks-shmicks, what they need to do is go back to a different brake rotor material (not carbon) and give the drivers more input than the onboard computers.

Secondly, this was never a race, so how can you say that rubens deserved the win? (for my full view on the subject go to the F1 forum) And who the hell is Barichello to win for Ferrari? (read this)
As P-man said, Ferrari get the same points whether it was RB-MS or MS-RB.

And as for that link, so what? What on earth does that have to do with whether or not Barrichello "should" win, when he was better than everyone else the entire day? What the hell do you mean "this was never a race"???

Go to F1 forum and read my thoughts there. Most of your questions are answered there.

I think ferraris decision did ruin the race, but i gotta agree with ales. wot would happen if m/s had another accident, or the williams just developed their car better towards the end of the season? what if they only won it by the 4 points gained in austria. i bet all you lot in here wouldnt be sayin how shitty the decision was then, in fact, i bet half of you would start sayin how you had agreed with ferrari from the start.

none of you understand (especially non-europeans) how much the world championship means to ferrari after so many years of being so close but not close enough. and it DOES matter which way the 2 drivers finish because the drivers championship is way more prestigious than the constructors title to any F1 team

In the unlikely event that MS does win by such a slender margin,I for one will remember it as the season that he won by shitting on his team-mate.The win was not his.He shouldn't have taken it,and if it affects the outcome of the whole season it will put a stain on the value of the 2002 trophy.

Can't we go back to the days when F1 was a fair sport, and crossing the line first actually mattered?

If you watched F1 during the late nineties then you will know that this isnt such an unlikely event, and it has happened before when the title came down to the last race (and ferrari lost)

true, but they never used to have such a big advantage so early in the season..... not a common thing in the past
