$1,350 for 50 or so HP? Doesn't that seem assanine to you? I mean I'm not trying to rag on you or anything but it really seems like a waste to me. Granted, I have a 3.4L too and I have done a few things to it also, but let's face it the 3.4 just doesn't have the potential that some other engines have.

Hah, how much hp do you think exhaust would normally give any other engine? Shoot, you can do the same setup as I did on a 3.8, LT1, or even an LS1. And I guarantee you'll see about the same increase. Nothing too assanine about that.

As for the 3.4's. They do have potential. You just have to be willing to wanna work on it. Yeah, maybe it's a wee ol V6 and you see no point since there are V8's being offered. Well I don't know about you, but I tend to take the road less traveled and would like to do something different than to follow the crowd and sell my car for a V8.

Re: Bit of a Situation

Now me
Hooker shorty headers $ 100
Mandril bent pipe 3" $100
Flomaster 80 series $70
Corvette chrome tips mint cond.+ pipes (stolen from some other car I got them real cheap )
No cat, but theres a place to clamp the stock one on for emissions.

Assembled myself (no welding) Treated with black heat paint.

I did all this because the previous owner had one glasspack on the back, which was stupid. And keep in mind I am selling the car.

See, now that's the smart thing to do. I wish I had thought of doing that at the time.

Re: Bit of a Situation

Stainless. Top of the line LSx headers. 1 7/8" primaries. Kooks.
Worth EVERY penny in my opinion.

Re: Bit of a Situation

I think those are mostly for the Corvettes if I understand it right.
They are supposed to be great set-ups, but I haven't heard much about them.

http://www.secureperformanceorder.co...rformance.html

I think they are so expensive because of the type of stainless steel they use.

Figured I didn't want to skimp on this build. I wanted the best of the best. Believe me, this car makes me broke.
The only thing I didn't get I wanted was the heads. But I got such an insane deal on the ones I am getting, I couldn't pass it up.

BTW....
The old ones are the curvy ones on top.

Re: Bit of a Situation

Coming along. Heads still aren't here. I need to figure out what to do about head gaskets as well. Cometic's are just too damn pricey. I would like to run stockers, but they are too thick for what I am looking for.
Planning on having a sound clip posted within 2-3 weeks. Probably closer to three though.
