Im just restating what other people have said. The CRX is very light, and the GSR engine is pretty powerfull (170 @ 7600 RPM, 128 @ 6200 RPM (trq)) I think that a stock Integra with the engine runs mid to high 15's. If he has done some stuff to it, he will have a major advantage in the CRX because it is so light. It might be a close race to say the least.

Wow...I just got told. Man, you know you're right. Yeah you have your opinion and I have mine. You just so happen to not like mine. See this is the exact reason I got out of the "IMPORT SCENE". This bullshit between people. So, to settle it all....I WAS WRONG. So, now...you can go to hell.

Thank you,

Alan

It lacks one thing it defentally needs to be a good street racer

torque

128 is very unimpressive, and these ratings are really high in the RPM band, making it very hard to launch right, and you have to know -exactly- where to shift

So unless the driver is awesome, it wont be close to the t/a, it will be rear view -at best-

And MeIamCool

You were owned

I AM DOMESTIC! so there :bandit:

Ok, to start, I do have a CRX, and I totally agree with you guys that there is no way in hell the rice burner can beat you...My CRX is a car for going to school, other than that I also have a 86 Mustang GT w/ 5.0 and a couple mods...

the best engine to swap in a CRX would definatly be the Integra Type R engine, a b18c5, which is pretty much the GSR engine with different cams and intake. This engine has 195hp. With this in a light car like the CRX, it will run low 14's maybe. With some serious modding, he could get it as fast as you have run (12.3 i beleive you said) but that would be very costly, probably involving a turbo, which the b18c5 engine is not good for...
If he was smart, he could probably have a b16 engine Civic SiR/Type R 170hp, Turbo'd and overall built and then He might be in the 12's...

My $0.02

American Muscle sucks. If it doesnt have Vtec is SUCKS!!!

My 2001lx civic can take your crapmaros and fireturds anyday.

oh... wait... the lx's dont have VTEC. Awww crap

I hate to see arguments between imports and Muscle. The only reason i like modding stock slow small engine cars, is cause its fun to see how fast you can come out in the end. Dont get me wrong, Stangs, Maros, and Birds are fast out of the box, but i like my rocket and hopefully someday, with a turbo and a stroked/bored engine, i will be able to take one of you guys down...

Hopefully

I can understand what you mean. It pisses me off when people talk trash about how fast their Honda's are, to our V8's. But I would be jumping up and down if I made a dinky Honda beat a Trans Am. In fact I'd be really really excited.

plain and simple: GSR motor in CRX(stripped interior..hehe of course you know those honda guys) with H+I+E with semi-slicks = 13.5s..

00 firebird/Z28 stock w/ H+I+E = 13.0s..

go figure...... actually it'll come to whoever is best at driving...
now the 12.3 is hard to believe....

if the CRX has 60-70 shot take about 1.5seconds off....hehe!!!
high 11s or low low 12s

then it'll be a good race!!!

RACE ON!!!

yeah, this thread is extremely old. lol. Still a good one though.

Its weird that some people cant read sarcasm. If they were to hear it then they would know what i was trying to convey, but to read it is a whole other story...

Then u should've been there when my friends hatchback beat a ws6 by a car with ONLY 6lbs of boost. He is capable of boosting 22lbs but he needs to get tuned and needs that aem ems.

Some domestic lovers under estimate these hondas and know this they have alot of potential to be fast just as anyone or faster. And who needs torque on a light car? I sure don't but i wouldn't mind gettin a couple of extra pounds of it. Type r have the most torque for stock honda and i think its rated at 134 lbs. It may not be much to domestic ppl but its alot for a honda and especially in a crx. As far as that kid who wants to race...i don't think he'll beat you if he just have a ''stock" gsr motor with basic bolt ons.

werd we dont need that. i know my car is strictly middle of the road when it comes to performance. and with many of the new cars that are introduced, i slide further down the list. that doeant mean im going to talk shit though...

This is one of the few threads where domestic and tuners have come together without waging an all out flame war.... I like it!!!
