Re: new engine

BUY MY CAR!!! PLEASE!!! I posted it a while ago but it didnt get much attention. Its a red 89 camaro rs with a 305 v8 and 142000 miles and still runs great. Which wont match the power of that iroc that you were looking at but it is a good base to build off of because it already has a v8. Koni shocks eibach lowering springs, chrome wheels, grant steering wheel, interior is in excellent shape. The car does need paint however. New front brake pads, shoes, bearings, and brake flex lines, new master cylinder, new a/c compressor, and recently changed the oil. Im asking $1,500 for it if your interested. Im in Altamonte Springs which is North east of orlando. I have to sell this car soon. Theres a pic on this site. (i know the site is kinda gay. i made it when i first got the car and was really excited) www.geocities.com/w007camaro

Re: new engine

yeah they never gave the manual transmission with the 350 motor. Couldnt take it and be very reliable or something. It would be sweet to swap in a t56 one day. But its the auto for now. But i cant complain. She's purty.

Re: new engine

Why buy when you can sell your engine and put a 305 with a t5 in, and then just swap any fuel injection in there.

You're NE of Orlando? I'm up in Jax. Your selling it pretty cheap, anything wrong with it? I'm all for automatics, got one right now. I'm lookin for a beater car in the mean time, bacause I deliver pizzas in my moms Kia, but she just recently finally got another job. So I'm having to use my car for a couple hours, then come trade out with her once she gets home. Whats the gas mileage like with it? I've got a little over a grand saved up right now that I'm going to use to get a second car. So if you can give me some of the specs on it, how she runs, does it start fine, is the tranny still shifting fine.. you know, the basic run down. Then I might be interested.

BTW, same questions go out to you 88camaroproject. I know you just did the engine swap which looks marvelous I might add. I'd love to have a maro for a delivery car, but It's gotta get semi decent gas mileage. Otherwise I'm just gonna keep lookin for a cheap ol 4cyl.

Re: new engine

i think i am getting 19 or 20 mpg now with my new engine. the old one got 18.5 or something when i figured it out. by the way my bro goes to college at unf. well anyways my car leaks. everyday i have been trying to fix all 5 leaks( all around the t tops) and i have only fixed 2 so far. its pissing me off. umm but anyways the trans shifts amazingly to 2nd, then you feel the shift to third and the rest are pretty smooth. and in the morning you have to rev it up like 2 times then let it settle down before driving it other wise for the first like 50 feet it hesitates and runs crappy then its all good from there on. umm email me if you more pics or info or videos of it. btw did you look at the auction? if not heres the link- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=4574142426
i will end the auction early if you just wanna come and buy it. butyeah email me if you wann come and check it out or something ( [email protected] ) and do you know bob hull or mike trosset or drew buckland or any kids from unf. my bros on his way here from jax right now actually.

Re: new engine

I getting a Rabbit Diesel? for daily life + plus another project to make money out of.
The only surprising thing is that v6s arent fuel efficient at all. WTF? I get same mlg out a v8 car that I used to get out my v6.

Re: new engine

the specs for mine are simply the 89 camaro 305 tbi with auto and 142,000 miles. She starts fine and runs strong. My car also needs a minute in the morning just to sit and idle. The tranny shifts fine and also can give a firm 1->2 shift. But everything is fine. Ive havent had any problems since i have had the car. The previous owner is my sis's boyfriend who upgraded to a 98 z28 and sold me the old car. He had the car since 60 or 70 thousand miles and it has had nothing but baby treatment since then(oil changed strickly every 3000 miles, etc.). The rearend was replaced a couple years ago. All the stuff i posted before as well as a new alternator just because i could because it was under warranty. I have reciepts and records for the car going back a couple owners. Lemme know.
