eh, ht the brakes next time, teach the fucker a lesson, its his damn fault, and following for 8 miles without turing on his light to pull you i belive is illegal in MI, but im not sure, but next time teach the fucker a lesson then let him and his dept. pay to fix it.

in a square, 3 rights would get you back to the point you started at... 4 rights would keep you going in the circle...

lol, shut up, i was thinking of triangular city blocks... (not really, no)well if you make 3 rights you will be able to see him maybe and you can shoot his pos with a paint ball gun and by the time he turns his car around you could be a mile a way.

an officer can follow you pretty much anywhere in his/her jurisdiction, just because you make 3 right turns doesnt mean that if the officer was needing to make those same turns that he would have to pull off and wait for you to finish your route or whatever...i can follow a car anywhere i feel, a lot of times its hard to see the registration sticker on some plates and you have to get a little closer to see when they expire, you can pull up and get a plate ran to see if there are any warrants etc for that owner of the vehicle and if you're too far behind the person may get away from you if another car pulls out or whatever...i agree that brake checking is not a smart idea...a lot of people say "man that cop was soooo close to me all i would have had to have done was tap the brakes and he couldnt have stopped"...a lot of people say that but rarely is ever attempted, but in the unfortunate situation where an officer would rear end a car another department would investigate the accident and it is an infraction to follow another vehicle too close so the officer may be ruled at fault but like was said earlier the cars w/ the camera would be good evidence of what happened...but the police cant really police the police so it'd really depend on the situation on who's at fault...but still is never a good idea!

pulling a lil close so you can see the plate is 1 thing but to sit there and ride my ass so close all i gotta do is pop the truck and you can climb in is another thing, i would pull over and as he passes id flip him off.

Aren't you a little young to be a police officer??? (A lot of the municipalities around here have requirements that would preclude most people under 25 or so from being a police officer.)

Either way... cop rear ends a civilian, his fault, whether or not you were "brake checking" or not. Police have no special priviledges whne it comes to the law and it's applicability to them. If someone driving a manual shift car rolls back into you at an intersection, it's your fault. If he a cop was following too close for the conditions, ie at night, and he rear-ends you (regardless of why) it's his fault.

The name of the law you mentioned earlier is "Entrapment" 3 turns in any direction is enough for a judge to recognize that the cop is going out of his way to follow you untill you screw up, which we all know is going to happen. This is valid unless the cop can give a reason (other than following you) that he went the same direction as you did. I guess I would be thankful that they are keeping an eye out like that should your car ever be stolen, you should be getting it back. Nonetheless I would be uncomfortable there too.
