Re: Digital speedo?

Back to the digital speedo's, now that we know which specific model (Se coupes) had HUD. Which specific models had the digital speedo or the mechanical speedo?

Re: Digital speedo?

All coupes had the digital speedo. If one doesn't, it was changed by the owner.

First off, I've heard of one single coupe with an analog speedo so it's not the "average owner", it's one guy, second, I didn't say they all had the digital speedo and the HUD, I said they all had the digital speedo, and third, it's "tach" and "coupes". Oh and fourth, how hard can it be to swap, you did it.

AHAHAHAHAHA, that was pretty funny. But im not really exactly sure what is right. I was leaning towards the digital on all but AWD could be right..

1st, ur first sentence makes no sense "I've heard of one single coupe with an analog speedo so it's not the "average owner", it's one guy"
2nd, i agree w u
3rd, ahh... =(
4th, its just work, and u need 2 cut the dash to fir the HUD, i wouldn’t do it bcus the dash is old and can crack.

if u need help w the install i'll post up pix.

cool?

Re: Digital speedo?

here's my experience of swapping HUD.

I have a 1992 fastback, and HAD a 1993 SE coupe w/ HUD, I was about to sell the coupe and wanted to swap the quage cluster (which has the HUD control unit on the back of the digital speedo.) into the fastback to have something original.

I hooked everything up, and when I started it up, the speedo went to about 80mph, and the odometer started turning over. The tach worked, but the speedo increased with the revs, so the speedo seems like its getting a tach signal being sent to it.

So I decided I would screw around with it no longer, and swapped them back.
