Re: Got pictures

Damn that didn't work either. If someone thinks they could help me out by looking at my pictures I could email them to you.

Re: turbo...trim...?

i was able to see them. That would be a Mitsu style housing, as far as turbo size, I couldn't tell you. I can say that it's not a t-25 or t-28.

Re: turbo...trim...?

Thank you Tsitalon9587. That at least narrows it down. Does anyone know someone who would be able to tell me what size turbo it is by looking at it? It's deffinatly a garrett turbo so that should also help to narrow things a little.

Re: turbo...trim...?

I'm pretty sure Aaron just said its a mitsu style housing, which would mean its NOT a garret turbo. Unless he meant turbine housing. Email me the damned pics so I can put this to rest before I snap.

Re: turbo...trim...?

I think I just confused myself, but I was talking about the exhaust housing, as it's bolted to a stock manifold.

Edit: I just noticed it says "garret' right on the comp housing. You also have one of those fancy fangled o2 housings.

The inlet of the turbo is weird too, its one of those bolt on ones, which isn't something common on DSM's. I rarely see it.

Re: turbo...trim...?

The turbo says Garrett on the side so I would assume it is a Garrett turbo...

Re: turbo...trim...?

Ah still no luck Kevin suggested that it may be a TO4B and I know for certain now that it is not a t-25. If anyone else thinks they can help me narrow down the field a little more the input would be greatly appreciated let me know what your email is and I'll send the pictures to you.

Re: turbo...trim...?

Hey kevin I found a something that may help you comare a little better to a T04B. I read up and it says it will bolt up to the stock manifold and downpipe...could this it?
Anyway here is the link...scroll down a little on the page and you will see it.

Re: turbo...trim...?

Hard to say. No turbo "meant" for a DSM has that gobshyte bolt on inlet thing. If you can get a clear pic of the actual compressor wheel, you could compare that to pics of various known compressor wheel pics, which are relatively easy to come by on the internet.

Re: turbo...trim...?

Okay I'll get a good clear picture of the compressor wheel tommarow if I can, but on a side note...why would it even have that "gobshyte bolt on inlet thing?" Did someone not feel like doing some custom fitting and slap that on there or what?

Re: Re: turbo...trim...?

I just got done jacking up my car and snooping around the turbo and trying to find numbers/letters anything. The only ones I was able to read where on the back side of the turbo inlet and it was 7811BB0 im not sure if the last one is a 0 or and O. Anyone know what this might stand for? Oh and right before these letters/numbers there was a mitsubishi symbol. So im guessing this is a mitsubishi/garrett turbo? This just gets more confusing every day.
