Re: dont buy gas on sept. 3rd!

By the time they decide to lower the prices you'll have to buy gas the very next day...

Re: dont buy gas on sept. 3rd!

Not necessarily. The government is also taxing gas more due to more fuel efficent vehicles. On the contrary, more people are driving now than back in the day.

The government predicts America's lazyness to not driving. Americans are going to drive, even if they have to pay more for gas. I know none of the fat people that come to my restaurant are gonna walk a mile and a half for our good food, thats for sure.

Re: dont buy gas on sept. 3rd!

There are way too many stoners in the US to schedule a day that people will not buy gas.

50% of U.S. provides the following result:

Just as the tank hits full.. "Uwh dewd I was posed to not buy gas today! Phuck Man, I always forget stuff "

40% just buy gas on that day because they wouldn't care if gas were $5 per gallon.

10% actually don't buy gas on that day, but probably because they didnt need it.

Just my opinion..

Personally, if I need gas and there is a station that sells gas then I'm going to buy gas. Its kind of like food, lets say all food started costing you 2 times as much. Would you avoid eating for a day in effort to drive the cost of food down?

Look at the bright side. Do you wait in lines for gas? Can you drive to work or to the hospital? Would you kill someone for 10 gallons of gas? Do you live in Europe where they do actually pay $5 per gallon?

just the gas we use in one day is a god awful high amount, it would make a big surplus if we didn't buy any, a surplus that would take like 2-3 weeks atleast to wither down...

a majority Not buying Gas for a Day is Easy... it also wouldnt do anything... at all. because we would all just buy the gas the next day or the day before and prices would return to normal (or in all likely hood not change at all). ending the surplus as quickly as it was created

a majority Not Using Gas for a Day would be impossible... but would create a large surplus and lower prices.

It's not just US

One of my patients at work (where else? lol) Is one of those free-lance investors, and he deals with oil companies and he brought up a good point: We (USA) are not the only ones who are causing the oil prices to go up... it's other countries also... and it's two of the biggest ones; China and India. This is why: Most of China and India does not have the inferstructor that we do. Only the big cities have an electrical grid. Most places (houses and buiding) run off of gas generators. Another thing is that the lower classes in China and India are started to get more cars, because older ones are now becoming more readily availible, the day of bikes, and donkey drawn VW shells are getting smaller. Shortage is not a myth, it may take about 20-30 years before anything serious happens, but it's a fact. Also remember this, the gas engine's days are number (I KNOW, SUCKY, I love internal cobustions, it rocks) another thing that wont take place for many years, but the Oil Ind know's this and they want to cash out. It's hard to accept, but it's the truth, so we might as well have fun with it while it last and lay down as many layers of rubber on all the hair-pins, and drag strips that we can for now. Bye the bye Volvo is working on a bad ass Vegi-oil turbo motor that actually get's better PSI and HP than it's L5-T counter part.

Re: dont buy gas on sept. 3rd!

we have lots and lots of petroleum, which is made into gas and bunches of other stuff, but we sell it to china who pays ~ 3.50 per gallon for it, where the rest of the u.s. is paying ~ 2.80 per gallon, so instead of the oil companies helping their country, they like to fuck us in the a-hole, and sell us out. what basterds...
but anyway, ive heard by next year gas is going to hit $5.00 per gallon, and if the terrorists hit our oil fields its going to like 9-10 a gallon. im pretty sure im going to buy a street bike if it goes that high, i mean i love my car, but i would also like to have a life even more, this shit sucks.

Re: dont buy gas on sept. 3rd!

Dont complain if you live in America because in some other countries they buy gas for $5 a LITER!!! Thats completely insane if you know how much more a gallon is than a liter.
