I'm driving the GEO more now and my Mustang more for weekend pleasure drives.

Anyway about the oil companies. It was said a few months back this company created an engine that could get un-godly gas milage. I think it was close to 100 mpg, maybe not that much though. The oil companies though paid millions and millions and millions and millions for this one company to give them the plans and not release it to the auto makers.
Greedy bastards.

I used to drive really aggressive but now I calmed down a bit because the gas price just keeps rising...

Re: The price of gas

I refuse to believe that petrol is NZ$1.49 a litre, it only cost me $66 for a full tank today. It cost me $67 when petrol was up around $1.25 a litre.

I've started catching the train to uni, and since the G/F called it off I'm saving 100-200km per week.

I am lucky, my car runs on both LPG and unleaded, So in my daily driving, I can run it on LPG for half the price but have to deal with a bit of a power loss. Then when I want a bit more power and my pocket can handle it, I can just flip a switch and run on petrol again.

Actually it has been going for longer than that. I think during the 70s if I remember correctly, this guy took his lincoln to a mechanic and told him he was getting 80 MPG And this is during the 70s dude! when the oil crises happend, well the mechanic called Ford and said wth.. and obviously the gas company got wind of it and BAM, they took the plans and the guy got somewhere about 50 mil or so.

AHHH... The old hundred MPG carburetor myth. I didn't think anyone believed that one anymore.
