Regardless, its not exactly stealing someone else's work. He would still have to do his own artwork, which takes many hours, or commission someone to do it which costs quite alot - this is what S27 do anyway so they don't own the artwork. On top of that there are the manufacturing costs involved. So, he's not exactly making a profit on the back of others when he's forking out for the cost himself, its not the same as bumping off mine of S27's resin kits.

Also its quite possible that he has commissioned the same guy who does S27 stuff to do his. I know for a fact that he will happily give you the artwork for a decal set commission by S27 and just rearrange it for you, its his work afterall.

So what if he copied it - if it's cheaper then fairplay!
Do you actually enjoy paying high prices?
It's about time that someone with the ability to produce decals used it to help others instead of hogging it!

Good luck to the guy!

Good luck to him!

I actually don't mind he doing copies. He may need to more efforts to made his copy from my tiny logos on the decal sheet, which I was really appreciated!

I'm confident with my LB production decal. I believe buyer's eye are crystal clear. Who will pay nearly the same price for a copy instead of original?

Also the market is open so I can't say we should forbid him to sell his own product. Like the case of Skyline GTR from both Tamiya and Aoshima. Guys, judge yourself!

In case of LB Prod. it is not so nice to copy almost the whole decal and sell it as own item. Because Lau is small decal maker. But if you copy a S27 decal I think is not a big guilt.

Anyhow I would buy from this guy the P/E part and the Nismo Zero decal but do not know how. On that page there isn1t any email address. Also what currecy he use? Can anybody help me?

I don't see what you guys are on about. They are company logos for a particular race car. No matter who makes them, they are going to look the same. You want the decal to look the same. Would it make you feel batter if he had arranged them in a different pattern? Studio 27 did not design those logos, advertising people working for the various companies did. There is no copying here except what is necessary to produce an accurate set of decals. I would think you would want it to be accurate and the same for a cheaper price. The only thing he may be doing wrong is not paying the corporate fees for using their logos on a sheet of decals, thus making it cheaper.

I think you need to get like a license to use the logos though.

Good help to let us disappear... Thanks a lot.

You told about high prices, but I'm quite sure I would easily exchange your pay against mine.

Agree with Etienne! This would kill small companys and the hobby. Do you guys notice that you got fewer decals and kits recently? Please think again. There are lots of better business for money. We're not doing this business for money but for enthusiasm.

Re: This guy is really crazy

let's say, he did just photo copy, and reprint. what kind of decal paper does he use? I can rely on S27 for great decals, and PE. what if this guy is just using the Testor's decal stuff? I don't see anything wrong with it. I am quite sure the quality of film will be of lower grade. Remember the old saying "you get what you pay for".

now on the flip side of this coin. I do not condone, or approve of this action of "RE-POPPING". if he has done something to improve on the original, then good, but if not...that's just wrong.
