thanks for the tips guys but the engine light has gone off and nothing seems to be wrong now. wierd. oh well. its been about 2 weeks now and still nothing so i think im good. thanks for the advice anyways

probably a loose connector or something... if you can get to the connection part of it, maybe hit it with some electrical tape.. or something that will stand up to the heat..

1988 300zx turbo 5spd. 3" mandrel exhaust, filter, afco rad, e-fan, poly engine mounts, mbc at 8.5 psi, turboxs rfl-h bov, gutted plenum, etc.

blown turbo, under construction.. gt35 coming.

damnit i jinxed myself last night with that last post. the engine light came back on today on my way home from school. hopefully it is a loose connector. ill fiddle around in there and see what i can do

Question: Im in college and i have no money right now and probably wont have enough until next summer, or maybe christmas. How long can i run it like this? if the sensor goes out will the car still run right? I mean, the car only has 91k on it right now so i dont think its going to start knocking anytime soon, but will it screw with the computer and make the car run funny?

that particular sensor should not make the car run funny...it should just sprout a Engine Light.

the only problem i see...major internal damage if you clog an injector or something of that sort. the engine wont know its detonating and therefore it will not react.
