Re: Walked an R32

I know low 14s isn't impressive, but it's faster than about 90% of cars out there.

Last generation Mustang GTs, 350Zs and E36 M3s aren't fast, but they aren't "slow" either.

Re: Walked an R32

in my book

14's are decent
13's are quick
12's and faster your start to get "fast"

even today 12's are not as fast as it used to be.

I never said it was fast, I just said that there are SO many cars that are a lot slower out there. low 14s for a daily driven car is not bad. Of course there are faster cars out there, but 14s isn't bad.

Exactly how many 12 second cars did you see on the road today?

That may be the case, but that's not what I was getting at...how many of those cars do you actually see on the road in an average day of driving? I'm getting at the fact that speed is relative...a 14 second car, believe it or not, is faster than 85-90% of the cars you will encounter in an average day of driving...unless you are now going to tell me that the streets where you live are magic 11 second DSM sanctuaries where they are allowed to roam the streets free of anything slower than 13 second cars...

Exactly my point. If you're at a track, a 14 sec car is nothing special. On the street, a low 14 second car is faster than a lot of cars. It's not "fast" but it's not "slow"

Re: Walked an R32

I can count the 12 second cars I've seen on the roads with one hand. Most are exotics or well modded and you always know it when you see and/or hear them coming. The only 11 second daily drivers I know of are street bikes. Not to say there aren't a few 11 second street cars out there functioning as daily beaters, but come on...you figure in the time and money to get to that point and you can bet the owner has enough brains and money to afford a POS for his daily commute.

Re: Walked an R32

i think it all depends on the car too....

A 13 second ford taurus= pretty impressive

A 13 second LS1= Meh, anybody with a decent launch and mediocre shifting skills could pull it off....(no offense to any LS1 drivers that can't break the 13 second barrier......you suck at driving though....you need to practice......practice alot)
