Re: GTO/ F body engine swap?

the new Z06 has an ls6, right? would that fit? cause you can get some sick power out of a weaker lookin car. Thats always a lot of fun. even if it isnt practical most of the time

Re: GTO/ F body engine swap?

IIRC, all the LSx engines are very similar in external dimensions, and if one can fit any can fit. And me, for performance I prefer the vette ride to the GTO ride, but prefer the GTO ride when it comes to daily driver or family mobile

If I could come up with the Vibes stats, I would. But who cares??
Can't be more than 100HP. Slow ass car is perfect for the girl.

Actually all the ecotec engines or so that GM is like putting out for these kinda cars like the Vibe, the HP they put out is like 140 or so. pretty good if you ask me for like a 2.2 or 2.0

Re: GTO/ F body engine swap?

This Vibe has a Toyota motor in it.
Keep in mind, I am at 5400 feet above sea level, so a slow NA car seems a LOT slower here.

Re: GTO/ F body engine swap?

Really??

Man does mine change going from here to Iowa.
The Trans Am literally picks up 50 RWHP. No lie.
My corrected dyno = 376.8
Uncorrected dyno = 322

Hm.. kinda interesting, cause I remember seeing that I was upto 5000+ feet or so and the Lancer didnt feel any different, and btw I had to constantly downshift/upshift and do many turns and keep going up and down, which btw I found EXTREMELY fun. I want to go through that again. Probably wont though till a long time, cant wait when I do go through it again.

Re: GTO/ F body engine swap?

NA cars lose about a second in their 1/4 times here. Sometimes more.
Kinda scary. No air for them to breath though, so it makes sense.
