Re: '98 Prelude vs. 2001 GT-S

Well I driven both and I think the Celica GT-S would be a better buy. It has good power to weigh ratio and it handles excellent. I had to make this decision not to long ago and I decided to go with the 2006 Toyota Corolla XRS instead. The Celica will definitely beat the Prelude in straight line performance, but would mostly likely lose in the twisties if it’s a Type SH. Both cars both handle well and I couldn’t really tell a difference in handling abilities.

Re: '98 Prelude vs. 2001 GT-S

i know what your talkin about with the cavi. my cuz had on '96 and was the z24. had the 2.4L engine in it. It killed every thing he raced, hella torque off the line in 1st and 2nd, but then power dropped in 3rd. They are quick and light, not easy to find the ones with the 2.4L engine in them. he was stock and was beating integras everywhere we went. im not sure if they were gsr or not, but if u do get some minor mods on one, they are hella fast for the money and good on gas.
