your respecto meter just hit a new low 2 things make a motor fast tech and size most of the newer v8s have alot of tech look at the LS motors or fords Mod v8s alot of tech just bigger then a compact.I know no pump gas running 4 banger will touch a tuned 03/04 cobra you know as my MM&FF says 800ish is about what stock guts this car will do. my friends 11 sec crx *near 10s* has been walked by a streetlegal KB cobra hes street legal and high 9s he claims and I dont doubt him. Vettes cost alot more then Fbodys and pack same powerplant most people who want speed rather have lower insure and less starting price and vettes are tuned hell god willing i might have a c5 in a few years. |

I wouldn't go as far as to say The I-4 is preffered but a highly tuned six appeals to me more then any other engine layout save the ferrari v12's and v8's.
You can get more then enough power for the street with more usuable power, and less stress then a 4 cylinder of the same hp rating. IMO I-6/V-6 is my preffered engine boosted of course.

Re: Corvettes
Its more expensive to get into a vette initially, but much cheaper to be fast. If you buy a Z06, you already are fast.

Re: Corvettes
Wow, I didn't realize people cared that much about my opinion. Thanks for caring so much about what I think.

We care, but an over generalized statement as that is kinda dumb. Cause all that will do is start a war between V8 guys and fourbanger guys. And it'll never stop. Four bangers are cool, trust me... I had one. Had all sorts of fun in it. V8s are fun, trust me... I have one. I have all sorts of fun in it too... You can't compare the two... cause not many of the people from either side can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Re: Corvettes
Nicely said. I love all cars, except azteks and minivans. You don't have to chose which one is better, they are all different.

HP=(Torque*RPM)/5252 That is how S200s are so fast. Airflow is directly linked to BHP. So an engine spinning higher RPM than the same engine at a lower RPM is capable of making more BHP given cylinder head ports/cams/intake piping/exhaust are all sized in accordance. Then most say RPM causes more wear on an engine....... Well where the fuck does 140+psi of oil pressure go at 10k? Between the bearings. Pull apart a well maintained engine and look at the bearings. Nice n shiny huh? Yea, no wear. Thats right, NO WEAR. A thin layer of oil exists at all times under ideal conditions(your shit has been taken care of) to prevent metal to metal contact. Most properly maintained engines can use completely stock sized bearings during a rebuild(even after 200K+ miles! FYI, for the KA24( my rice burner) Clevite only makes one grade(size) of bearing). I'll give you the I-6. Naturally balanced.....ooo yes. Plus 2JZ is so damn nice.....
