Be strong enough to tell this person that you're there for them to talk to, but know your limits. You can't be everything to everyone. It just doesn't work out that way. Sometimes just having someone to talk to can clear up their mind. Here's hoping...

You may feel useless, but that doesn't in any way shape or form make you useless. You have talked to the person and tried to help, a useless person would not have even gotten off of their ass to say hi.

Spec2 Girl is USEFULL.

To a special friend...

Thankyou for all the times that you have made a difference.
Thankyou for all the times that you have tried to make a difference.
Thankyou for all the times when you wished you could make a difference.
Thankyou for all the times that you have known that you couldn't make a difference, but listened anyway.

Most of all, thank you for never ignoring the opportunity to make a difference.

And when it hurts because you can't always help.......

Now get a mirror, look at yourself in it... Woops, wouldn't want SNL sueing me.

Any how, I know how ya feal Spec 2, I have those days from time to time. Hell, we all have um every now and then. Just remember that by just listening you have already helped and the person you listened to will always remember that you listened to them when things wern't going so well. You will go down in their book as the good person you are and when it's all said and done, you have helped.
