I've seen Tamiya polycarbonate paint used with tyre stensils. Looked great. I think it would be the way to go because the paint has some flex in it so it won't crack when the tyre stretches or compresses..

LOL!...too true!
As for stretchiness, most acrylics also a given amount of stretch...which is why I never use it for topcoats!!!
