Okay I have a stock 01 GT Eclipse 5 speed and i've beaten a V Spec sentra that had a header, high flow cat, 3' exhaust, aftermarket muffler, and cold air intake. I have a hard time believe you have beat all of those cars

and ive dropped a gt eclipse with exhaust intake and i think headers.....with only my intake, remember guys, not all races are going to be the same, some people drive better than others, but even michael shumacher couldnt pilot the spec v to a kill over an nsx or a bmw 5 series, point at hand, our thread starter= NOOB, mustang gt=pwned by spec v unless serious mods are done, honda, still slower than my go-kart, i actually saw one beaten by a 5hp junior dragster in the 1/8th mile.....

Apparently no one replyingto me can read. Who said anything aboubt a launch or even beating an nsx. The bmw 535 is a punk bemmer at best.
My 92 325i was faster. I have driven many cars in many races. I am not trying to be cool. I don't back down from a race because the book says
the quartermile times are faster. I posted only ONE drag"SRT4!"
CAN U COMPREHEND THIS. A supercharger is a constant high forced air
intake. I work with a tuner that showed me how to make my own supercharger out of a 12v 35000rpm blow motor. Does any body know what a blow motor is? DUHHHH! And I know what is at my wheels.
I been on the dyno and have actual 170hp at the flywheel 200 at the crank. LESSON 101 in racing: Races come out different because of
driver differences and timing. Whether the max driver redlined or not I
handed him his ass hands down. I lost to the exact same model
on a slight incline on the highway because I was in 5th and I should of been in 4th. I miss geared due to fear of 265hp was supposed to win.

The little srt4 only post 14.5 quarter stock 2005 read up. If I am at 14.8
or 14.9 quarters any mistake by either driver will yield drastic results in the outcome. When I raced the srt4 none of my mods were done and
had a bad set of tires. If you think people don't take me serious in a sentra 2.5 think again. In Vegas, I was challanged at the light by a Callaway twin turbo Vette that does well over 180mph. He puched it but mygirlfreind was in the car and I knew I wouldnt win but coud'nt beleive he wanted to race. I got smoltered by a BMW M3 at 333hp up a highway ramp I tried to catch to no avail. He took off after he saw me behind him. I never taunted any of these races. And for all you max lovers of 265hp, ITS HEAVY. 265 dont mean jack. If any body saw CAR and DRIVER test the Acura RL st 300HP, it' s qrt mile was 15.1. A stock sentra at 140hp is doing the same. No manufacturer rates HP at the wheels. THe 350Z is only 230HP at the wheels. So don't even try to get technical B. I can't help if most people drive like Bs.

I destroyed a moded honda civic ex by at least 10 car lengths from 0 to 100mph. Maybe Nissan did
something to my car. Every time I take it in for an oil change they say "That thing is fast isnt it?"

don't know their cars. I don't doubt that you beat
the guy. I raced an all NISMOED out 02 spec V and
he could'nt do anything with my totally stock bad tires 02 spec V.

Like I said before, you MUST be talking about 1989-98 GTs. Cause a 1999+ GT will destroy a Spec-V. Remeber, a Spec does a 15.6 stock, whereas a GT does a 14.2. Listen, it's IMPOSSIBLE unless MAJOR driver error occured in the GT.

Oh wow, you beat a 120hp civic with your Spec. Good job. I didn't say you beat an NSX either, but you did claim a close race which is BS. You probably just thought you were racing while he was adjusting his radio or something. Also, people know that a 265hp Maxima turns a 15.0, which, yes, your spec is faster than. But if a driver isn't trying, then you didn't beat the car. You beat the driver. So it doesn't make any sense to go around saying "My car is faster than this car and that car", when it's the other DRIVER that lost.

Flatout: if the Mustang GT(14.2), NSX(13.0), and SRT-4(14.3) were trying as hard as you were, you woulda got your ass handed to you.

And by the way, 99-2004 GTs have a 4.6 V8 which is much more powerful than the old 5.0.

all of them. the car looks the same from 93 up to
04. It could have been a 98. I never raced him from zero. We both puched it at about 40mph. We stopped at the next light coming down from 80mph.
He looked supprised! The race was over. He did not pass me and I did not pass him. His car sported the
GT emblem on the back. i made sure it was a GT.

For all you non beleivers. I never stated that a spec v is faster than a mustang, NSX or srt4.
THe nsx was racing and totaly left me at 110mph
on the highway. Posting quartermile times on these
cars says that you are not intelligent enough to read thouroghly. WHO SAID Stop light kill? My car is not faster than any of these cars, most drivers SUCK on the highway. A 4 cylinder is not going to beat a powerful 6 or 8 from the light. So keep your insults to yourself. Most Maximas a governed at 120mph. I had one. THe legend is also. My brother has one. Damn, you aren't even listening to me. I didn't say you beat an NSX or SRT, but you claim a CLOSE RACE with an NSX, which is BS. Also, Mustangs did NOT look the same from 94-2004 and became exceptionally faster in 1999. From a 40 roll, a 99+ stang woulda stomped you. But yes, I can definitely see you pulling side by side with a 1994-98 GT. No problem with that. And excuse me, but I've owned 3 maximas and never have I seen one with a governer that I could even run into. My old 1990 can break 130 and my Mom's 1999 VQ can break 140mph. I'd bet you money that an 04 with a VQ35 will definitely NOT have a governer at 120mph. More like 145-155mph.

And the thing is, you'd probably have a BETTER chance from a launch with most of these cars. Like we said, the launch is the part where driver skills shine the most. All any of these cars had do to from a 40 roll is drop it into 2nd and rape you. It doesn't help your case that you just keep bashing other people's driving skills as a reason why we don't know what we're talking about. Want skills? My 145hp SE-R went neck-and-neck with a 2003 G35 Coupe for the first 2 gears. How? Yes, the launch. But once he gripped, I stood no chance against a car with over double my power. If you wanna lie, it's more believable from a stop.
