Re: BMW vs Mercedes vs Lexus

if mercedes can address the quality/reliability issues, i'd be hard pressed to choose any other luxo car over it. i've always loved mercedes. i think they make beautiful cars with heaps of luxury and some incredible powerplants. but i'm quite turned off that they simply can't make cars like they used to anymore.

I think it comes down to the Lexus and Beemer. Mercedes unfortunately does have more maintenance issues than BMW and Lexus and will most likely be the least entertaining drive out of the three. The IS300 is definitely a good choice in terms of speed, fun factor, and looks, but if I were you, I would check with some IS300 owners about snow driveability, because I've heard that the car is quite poor in that area even with snow tires. The 325i is not quite as quick as the IS, but looks the best by far IMO and handles the best as well. Plus, the 325i with snow tires will probably not be as bad to deal with in winter as the IS would be. Depending on whether you most prefer handling, acceleration, looks, etc., you'll have to decide which is best

I think its a battle between lexus and bmw...the mercs are nice but their reliability isn't great, and the C's performance isnt great (its not a C32 so it doesnt matter)

I would take the bmw because its a great drivers car in terms of performance and fun-to-drive, as well as its mechanically sound, minus stupil lil problems...engine & tranny are good...The lexus may be amazingly reliable but its not fun to drive, its just not made to perform like that....BMW made a good mix of driveability and reliability

Yes, go with the Bimmer, If you like luxury and automatics, get a lexus, if you want a drivers car get a BMW

Umm WTF are you getting your info from? Most C class are very reliable possibly more so thn the upper scale models due to the fact there made more for daily drivers. An last time I checked lexus wasn't to great on reliablity not to mention there sales person we checked was an asshole (but thats off topic). Merc has great reliability and excellent service. I had look in to the training programs an lexus has low standards for techs than anyone else besides Jag lol. Merc an Bmw are both good though haven't heard anything about them. My cousin has an Rx Suv an its been nothing but problems an my friends Is (02) is a pain in the winter like you can't believe. Yes Amg's are finer tuned but that doesnt mean a thing.

Re: BMW vs Mercedes vs Lexus

mercedes?
excellent service?

from what i hear, a lot of mercedes suffers from less than confidence inspiring build problems which when you take it back to get fixed, shows up even worse after-sales service.
