Re: Some people's thought processess...

like someone else said, too bad people are way wack in the world today. it's gotten to the point where i won't pull over to help someone unless i have another passenger in the car with me. this is merely a precaution to protect ME, incase the person in need decides to flip shit on me. i've read stories where people will stop and act like they need help the kidnap or kill someone that decides to be a good samaritan for trying to help.

Though most of tha men that I pick up tell me that a young woman like me needs to be careful who I pick up. Now a days you cant trust anybody. Besides what is a life with no trust, and bieng paranoid all tha time. Not a life I wanna live thats for shure.

Re: Some people's thought processess...

I will sometimes pick up people who need help but you do need to be careful. I will ask them a lot of quick questions (name, address, situation, etc.) to help decide what they're really up to. Sometimes I even ask for ID to see if their story matches up. I figure if they're up to no good they won't have ID or won't want to show it.

Once while I was sitting at a busy stoplight I watched a guy running from car to car trying to get a ride. Most people would consider this a risky pickup. When he got to me I listened, asked questions, looked for obvious area's to hide weapons and then decided to let him in. Nothing bad happened.

...until that night on the news you saw he went on a killing spree that started where you dropped him off.

Re: Some people's thought processess...

Ahhh, more evidence of the decline of the human race. Don't get me wrong, I don't trust complete strangers either

But as someone pointed out, you two guys who picked her up were in just as much danger. She coulda been some psycho bitch waiting to slit both your throats. Did you two call anyone?

Can't we just all get along, toast marshmallows and sing kumbaya?

Re: Some people's thought processess...

It's true that by picking up strangers (or being picked up) something horrible could happen no matter how cautious you are. But that just makes it kind of exciting as it puts you on high alert, ready to react to anything. After all, you could live a boring safe life and still be taken out by a maniac.

Re: Some people's thought processess...

Jeez, yall are some paranoid people. I cant count how many people I have given rides to while cruising from GA to MS and back. It makes the ride a little better, you have someone you dont know to talk to for a few hours or so. Everyone isnt out to get you, they are all going to get oz, but not you.

Re: Some people's thought processess...

I've had people tell me, "I trust you" when they didn't have any reason to. It's strange. You know you're trustworthy, but you also know you could seriously fuck with them. It's like.... They got lucky. But really, the percentage of people who are out to hurt other random people is a pretty small number. You can generally trust everyone and see that most have good intentions.

Once you offer to let her do anything she wants to feel safe, theres really not a very good chance that you're going to hurt her. That kind of shit just happens in the movies. Real people don't foil their own plans voluntarily.

Na, I would say that girl is retarded. She got lucky this time she hadn't encountered a real freak, clawhammer is semi-freak, jk.
But sriously, with all the things you hear on the news and especially since the States is currently in CPlus Orange right now, people need to be more vigilent towards things and people they trust. But if someone seems legit, don't be a prick, help em out if you can.
