Re: Evo X

I think the new evo looks nice (meaning, it could have been worse, lol) . STi's on the other hand, have always been ugly. You can see the Tribeca B9's front end on the new upcoming STi, and it aint pretty. Just like when mitsu decided it needed a corporate nose front end, instead of the wide-mouth grilles of the 90s, and put that nose on all its models.

I like the way the current evo has a powerful, menacing front end, but its trunk and rear end are equally weak and toy-like. The huge wing on a 4-dr somewhat boxy sedan isnt the smartest thing the designers could have thought of. Large wings can look fine if done right. The 2G turbo wings, and the 99 3000GT high rise wing are well placed and match the lines of the cars. The Evo wing has little in common with the lines of the rest of the car. Hopefully the new evo will have a better butt and a more sensible wing.

Ok...atleast the evo's wing is adjustable and functional (unlike 2g eclipse and 3000gt) I like the wings on the evo. Im digging the rally look. Also, I must agree w/you that the front end of the evo looks mean as hell w/that FMIC staring at you. The stock hood looks good and so do the brembos glaring through the enkeis. Im getting my Evolution VIII next month for a graduation gift. Finally get rid of my SLOW ASS 3g. My 3g is one big, underpowered pile of racer wannabe shit. Hhahaha..sorry had to vent to someone. I hate how the 3g is so BIG and SLOW.

Amen to that brother. Turbocharging... the replacement for displacement... and what better engine to exhbit that than the notorious 2 litres of the 4 bangin' 4G63. Add a 2.3 stroker with a GT35R, and warp speed Mr. Sulu.
