Damn, wish i were in your shoes right now. Your heads cost $1700?!?! Is that for one or two? The heads i'm looking at getting only cost about $600 assembled.

Re: PassKey II
That is for both, bare.
They do flow 320cfm at .600, which I like for heads right outta the box. They haven't been worked yet.

Re: PassKey II
well considering this has happend to me and my boys who owns the shops ws6 im thinking its the lock silanode (cant spell it but u get it). its the thing inside your ignithion that reads that damn chip in your key that tells the vats to let the car start. a new one is 120 bucks, but considering the crazy alarm i have on my car i decided to just take it out. well bypass it, my chip is connected to the inside of the ignition like u would have to do when u put auto start on your car and put the extra key inside the dash. they go out alot its common and it sucks ass big time but the thing is really nothing more than a brittle wire that keeps getting bent everytime u start the car sooner or later it will break

Re: PassKey II
sounds like the wires on your ignition lock cylender broke. and the vats module isnt reading your key. a quick fix is to use a multimeter to measure the resistance of your key pellet, and buy a matching resistor at the local radio shack or something. plug that resistor into the little two wire connector at the base of your steering coulum, i believe it is two small yellow wires. plug the resistor in on the module side of the connector. and the car should start. but if i am correct youll need a new lock cylender to fix the problem, requires taking off the steering wheel, lock plate, and horn, and then removing the lock cylender and harness, and threading a new one in. not really that hard. but takes some special tools to get it done. good luck getting the steering wheel off without a puller for instance.
oh and the whole green to yellow wire thing was a joke right? that dont work on vats equipped cars. vats kills ignition and fuel, so even if you crank it, it wont start.

Re: PassKey II
thats what i said too... but we took the pellet out the key and molted it to the wired, real nice, now when i get auto start i wont need an extra key, the bad side is now my car can be hot wired, but if that happens ill sue the bastards who put in my alarm that thing cost me a arm and a damn leg and damnit i want security!!

Re: PassKey II
Well, I think I'm about to find out how slow mine is being a 4 spd. manual. I don't expect prognessis of my daily driver to be good. I finally threw the towel in and have to have a trans shop look at it. I can't come up with a logical explanation for having a perfect trans 8 out of 10 starts, then notta a f'n thing and no band debris anywhere in sight. It's like someone's under my hood screwing with me by sucking all the fluid out of the trans, then when I go to pop the hood and check the level, they spit it back in and all is well til whenever?

Re: PassKey II
Thanks.
It honestly is a little too expensive of a daily driver for me right now. This new job is squeezing me by, and really slowing down this 402ci project. I am looking for better right now though. And Rally Sport, which Chevy version??? ![]() Daily driver wise anyways....

Re: PassKey II
Nice cars!!
I love the Grand Am GT. Just don't need it. I could use something much cheaper. $8500 car isn't really what I need right now. It is nice, drives great, is very comfy, etc..... But I would prefer a mid 90's Civic hatchback or something along those lines. I don't need the daily to be nice, but I do need gas mileage.
