aww, luke's still haven't gotten your wheels yet?
![]() haven't noticed much change from stock after lowering the frontend about 40-45mm....are you guys changing turn-in speeds? there does seem to be too much play on the steering wheel after the car speeds up. is there a way to make it tighter? I guess it's great for most people, but for me, I like to have snappy steering. |

Ken you might have too much toe out in the front. Did you get you car aligned after you lowered it?

gforces- naw not yet. it tracks perfectly straight, so thought it would be okay...also, I kinda like my steering pretty snappy and it seems like it's helping (the toe out). but yah, I *should* get it aligned, you're right.
everyone else aligned it after lowering the P11's?

hey glen...seems you know your kyb's well, so i hope you can answer my question.
can you remove the spring perch? the stock ones are removeable and i was just wondering if the kyb's are removeable too because i already have gc's and i wanted my suspension to look like a full coil over system. thanks

Yes. You can cut off the spring perch on the AGX shocks and struts if you are using an adjustable coil over collar. But, remember to leave enough so that the GC coil over collar still sits securely on what's left of the stock spring perch.

It's been a while since I messed around with my suspension, but I believe the large thick rubber piece on the bottom right is part of the OEM bumpstop. You DO need these pieces when installing your suspension. If you are lowering your car, you would trim this piece in half horizontally.
The washer sitting next to it on the lower left is the stock top washer that goes on top of the strut with the nut bolting down on top of the washer. You DO need this piece too. The other pieces on top (flat wide washer and 2 bushings) came with the GC coil over kit. You would use these things if you were installing GC coilovers. Otherwise, you wouldn't have them with the stock AGX. go back to the page where you found that picture attached and look at the first picture in the folder. I think I labelled everything for someone else. You can compare the stock strut to the KYB AGX one with the GC coil over kit. Glen |
