SW388s are offered in 16" in 5-lugs.

Maybe not the correct offset for the lude...but 16" and 5 luggies.

hehehe...you've much to learn JDM-grasshopper.

Car is looking awesome Rick. Simply phat-ass

Rick im just bustin your balls man! Looks good, but you want my opinion? If you do what Rene says and get a nice big intercooler to pop outta the front there -- powdercoat it black -- silver will just fuck up the look you got going. I think that would look sweet as hell! Especially because with it being black, most people wont even notice it till they get all up in front of your car and shit... and then when they notice it, its going to be like an "Oh shit!!!!" kinda responce, would be VERY cool IMO

You don't need any qualifications to sell stuff these days..

But Rotas are more practical IMO.

Can't wait for the turbo.

Hey question..

Black/dark colors attract heat right?
POwdercoat the intercooler black -- attract heat. See where Sean's going with this?

First thing -- what are you talking about "no qualifications" to sell stuff? eh?

Also, the powdercoating -- He lives up in PA, usually doesnt get that friggen hot, besides he already has 200hp -- hes still going to have alot of power, and I cant imagine it would make that much of a differance.

sorry sparq i just didnt want you to be pissed at me. it kinda sucks being at th mercy of others to take care of your shit but i gave up all my cards after i racked up a nice 4000$ debt during college and swore i would never get one again untill i had a job that i could pay for them with.

i do actually still live in florida and will be going back in mid may though. im up here on what you might consider an extended vacation. i would have went back down earlier but i wanted to stay for carlisle since its a really big show and i had tons of fun last year. kinda sucks in a way that i am going back because things are taking shape in certain areas of my life right now that i would like to see the outcome of and i dont know if i'll be able to follow up on them.

as for powder coating an intercooler black it is very possible and there is a substance that is out there that actually helps dissipate heat better then bare metel. lots of people get thier blocks and heads coated in it to help cooling since they are sleeved with very little coolent flow and i am deffinatly looking into it. its not very cheap but i figure the money i will save by making my own intercooler (big spearco cores for 275 and end tanks for 75$ = 425$ intercooler thats bigger then a skyline IC) as opposed to buying an off the shelf one will be more then enough to do the entire system including intercooler, IC piping and turbo exhaust housing. besides my goal isnt as great as one might think, a streetable mid to low 13 second car which is a very realistic goal that shouldnt be that much to accomplish. im getting to old for really fast things, god knows in a couple years im probably gonna have to trade this thing in on a mini van or a station wagon if ya know what im sayin.

and yes some people who sell things know a thing or two but its becoming a rare event to find someone who actually does anymore. thats what i was trying to imply.

All I need is to figure out if my debt is gonna ruin this or not because contrary to all the crap I'm doing to this car, I'm broke as hell. Thank god for friends. But you gotta see this thing now, it's lookin so purty

I also want to look into the junkyard turbo setup. I need a an intercooler and a big blow off valve on my car. Are you still gonna go for the bartendering gig?

yeah i know all about the debt thing man. ive been doing absolutly nothing lately so i could save up the cash to get this crap and put it on. my little job i have up here sucks for pay but if you have enough "want" then obviously anything is possible. income tax refunds help out a boatload too! the junkyard turbo set up is very doable. if all you were planning on doing was running like 7 psi then a 15g from a first gen elcipse woudl be fine and you can find those for dirt cheap. on www.car-part.com i found a whole slew of them for like 50$ and all you would need to do is rebuild them which is not that much to do. some dsm 440's for like 100$ and a resitor box from a crx for like 100$ to run them. and a fuel pump from and eclipse or a supra or an rx7 should be plenty enough to supply fuel for that amount of boost and they are roughly 100$ brand new at autozone. you could even grab a blowoff valve from a 1st gen eclipse for a coupel bucks and they are made out of metel unlike the 2nd gennies plastic one that leaks like a strainer. the most expensive thing you may have to buy is an safc to manage the fuel but you can even find used ones on the parts trader for 200 bucks. the biggest pain in the ass would be the manifold but we could even get around that and make you a log manifold for pretty damn cheap. oh and there is a sale on boost controllers at home depot, free when the parts fall into your pockets.

as for the job situation yeah im defrfinatly looking for a bartending gig. if i can land a decent bar job i might even be built and turbo by mid summer. its amazing how much pay is at a bar job.
