I never knew there was a 160 bhp civic coupe in europe... I always liked the coupe, only the lack of power was the 'problem' for me to really like it... 160 bhp... very nice : )
Does anyone know of the first generation civic coupe (about '95) has a version with a 'real engine' ? I only know of the 1.5 (105 bhp?) and 1.6 (125 bhp?).

There were no other engines except these two.

Damn it! That sux, bro. Do you have got strict laws when it´s about engine swaps or anything like that? If not you could swap a new engine in one of the easier available Civic Coupes. Or you´re going to buy one of these 1.6 SOHC VTEC versions with 125hp and put a JR supercharger on it. Should be more powerful than a Si then.

Personally, I would go with the above. Get the D16Y8 engine and build it up and then work on a S/C or even turbo.

You mean he should get the 1.6 SOHC VTEC engine? Yea, I´m sure that would be very nice with the JR S/C cause you should have more torque then than a stock 1.6 DOHC VTEC engine.

If you have the money for it, I would go with the Jackson Racing SC on a 1.6 SOHC. Like Veetec already said, you would kill the VTi with this engine setup. But the SC are very expensive (I think their price is somewhere between 3750-5000 euro)

Yes thats a good engine and I don't know why so many americans want to swap with a B series engine

I'm thinking of getting a D16Y8 engine myself. It has 125 Bhp as standard and with some mods I could have it up to 135-140 Bhp before forced induction. I'm pretty sure I could get one fairly cheap as there must be a huge amout of them in the US.

And there is a lot of other stuff from JR available to make the S/C even better and the car even faster!
