don't hate on something Unt'il you Try it. the Only Problem I have heard of is that some Axles get stuck in them, all you need to de-burr the inside to make sure the locking Clip slips out with no problem. I have not had that problem with mine.

Re: goodbye dear Si transmission... (#5)
Dude you just gotta go easy on the heavy driving.
I think my S1 has been grinding gears for 3 years now and I still take it to the track on the weekends.. Its been good to me. (knock on wood) Just go easy on the burnouts and stuff. I don't think I've ever done a burnout, so maybe thats the problem!? |

Re: goodbye dear Si transmission... (#5)
Yeah since my swap I've never done a burnout or launched my car. I still drive it hard but burnouts are uncalled for. Hell even when I had a D series I think I did like 4 burnouts with it total. Just go easy on it man, give the 4th gen some love.

Re: goodbye dear Si transmission... (#5)
if you cant do a burnout without dumping the clutch, you dont have enough power to be doing burnouts.

Re: goodbye dear Si transmission... (#5)
Haha, my LX can burnout without clutch dumping. Maybe you should find an LX that has been hit and yank the tranny out of it. 80,000 hard-driven miles on mine since I've gotten it.

lol, if i had my digital camera i'd show u this one, altho the first tranny i did was the worst, i blew the whole back of the casing off, this one i blew a hole on the inside about the size of a quarter. but i dont need to dump the clutch to do burnouts either, i can slip the clutch and still smoke the shit outta them
