Re: Place to learn to drive?

High school parking lot worked for me. It shouldn't be that hard to find a parking lot in Atlanta. Should it?

Re: Place to learn to drive?

No its not, I first learned to drive stick in some office parking lot, then drove around the roads they have around the offices. Then the street, sometimes with parents, sometimes without. Getting my license in 5 days though, so I will be legal! I live in Atl too, Alpharetta to be more specific.

My mom taught me in some industrial area with roads, no cops/security. That was like a 20 minute drive though, I got ahold of my Maro and just began driving, still am without a license and im not proud of it, I still gotta get my permit and crap.

Re: Place to learn to drive?

go find back country roads. parking lots aren't really that great to learn to drive in, they're not big enough.

Re: Place to learn to drive?

I learnt to drive in an empty shopping center car park.

I can run excellent slaloms around lamp poles as a result

Re: Place to learn to drive?

Your from atl, i forget the name of the road that loops around the city (285 maybe?) but just take a quick spin around the city a couple times. If you survive with all the fucked up drivers around there, your a good driver. If you dont....youll know you shouldnt have tried driving yet.

Re: Place to learn to drive?

Yes, 285, what a great highway to confuse people. Some dude was once rude to me when asking directions, I told him to take the last exit on 285. Still laughing about that. By the way my exam is tomorrow, and so is my bday. Finally 16.

Re: Place to learn to drive?

I learned on the streets... Sometimes sice I live out in Salinas/Monterey Bay Area, California. I would have gone around Highway 1 or Reservation Rd an long 3 mile straight away on Reservation road and I would learn there. Thats where I take my car to try to go top speed....
