Re: Passenger power window - 1999 Windstar

Next step would be to read the voltages on the master while actuating the passenger. Does master terminal #4, pass #2, and pass #3 ALL go to 12 v at the same time with pass #6 ?

Master #7?

Red face Re: Passenger power window - 1999 Windstar

The mystery continues…
I checked the voltages on the motor connector (with the motor disconnected):
Everything was correct: the voltage (12V) changed according to the press on the switches (both master and passenger). When I gave external power to the motor (12V Battery) the window went up and down according to the polarity of the voltage.
When I connected the motor back to the system, the problem still existed. When pressing the passenger switch down the window went down, when pressing the passenger switch up, the voltage on the motor terminals was zero (on both terminals).
When pressing the master switch up the voltage still was zero on both terminals.
When pressing the master switch down, the voltage on both terminals went to 12V.

I think that the problem is in the "Generic Electronics Module" which responsible on stopping the voltage when the window reaches the end of travel.
What do you think???
