Well, lets just see how their new album comes out

I reallt like load and re-load because im a bass player, and theres some hard bassing stuff in there, plus its much more prenounced. There are guitar solo's but kirk hammers on that damn wah-wah so much that you dont know it (my only gripe) but he openly admits he uses it too much, so its ok.

about Slipknot....uh.. well you cant exactly call me the biggest fan when i descibe their process of recording a track - "Slamming on 4 guitar with whacked tuning with random metal objects while dipping a a cat into a vat of boiling water" I dont see why a band needs 9 members in the first place. The most i like is Rammstein, and that's 6 if i belive correctly, ( 2 guitars 1 bass 1 keyboard 1 singer and 1 drummer) (btw, Rammstein is awesome, but that's another discussion) so...uh....yeah i forgot what i was talking aobut.

Back to metallica. Oh yeah. Uh. I forgot again. I dunno. I dont have a problem with anyone that doesnt like their "new stuff", i DO have a problem with teenyboppers that are still mad abot napster though. I like thier new stuff, its some cool crap. Until it sleeps...mmm. Its also a case of those songs bring back memories...good ones of my ex..so.

But no matter what, You cant say the music world (esp. Metal) wasnt helped greatly by Metallica.

Now to sorta change the subject... I was thinking of getting a tattoo on my shoulder - the Metallica star with barbed wire laced though it and scary guy in the middle ... is that a loser thing to do? (Metallica haters need now answer) hmmmmm im teetering right now.

Slipknot sucks. their lyrics are stupid, and do you honestly need nine fucking people to make a metal band? oh, im sorry...DEATH metal. you know, cuz theyre such badasses

I'm not going to close this thread, but this is becoming a gratuitous waste of server space at this point. We're debating about Metallica here. So you're not a Slipknot fan? Who gives a shit. And I never even brought up Napster. While on the one hand I do think that Lars and the boys had enough money already, on the other hand I am thankful that someone with enough money to fight the injustices brought to artists by organizations like Napster has stepped up to do what is right for the musicians (my father is a professional musician, so my family is affected by things like this). And if you actually read what I wrote, I agree whole-heartedly with you about Metallica's contribution to the music world. We'll see how the new record comes out.....

The Slipknot bashing pisses me off, because I know many more people that don't like the band than the few that do (and that in and of itself is part of their appeal), but in this context it's just stupid. I only mentioned them to make a comparison with Pantera, in that neither of them enjoy much benefit from radio play to spread their music. Feel free to bash Slipknot or any other band for that matter, but do it in a new thread in Stress Release.

So, call me an asshole today, I don't care, but if any more mindless rambling or stupid bashing goes on in this thread, consider this closed. Thank you.
