It takes a while but you can find em.
I see good ones in those local car magazines once in a while.
A couple of days ago I saw a 97 SS Camaro with 88,000 miles for 8,000.
These are the times when I wished I had some money...

Re: Thinking about selling the Camaro

The local trading paper usually has some really good deals. My mom got her 94 Mustang convertible for 3K even out of it. She put about 500 into repairs, but he car is so unique, I've never see one like it on TV, the internet, or in person in my life.

There's some pretty good deals right now in the paper. There's a 97 RS Convertible for 2500, and an 94Z28 for 2000.

I guess a lot of people are needing the cash right now, it even says it in one of those ads.

I think prices are down because of gas prices...

How much money do you have now? I say pick up that 94z28, for 2grand. Ain't bad at all. Sometimes when things are going shitty in someone ones life, like being broke, they sell the car just so they can pay some bills. Shit, it happens. The want ad usually has some good prices for maros in it. It's where i got mine from.

Re: Thinking about selling the Camaro

I'll have about 500 cash tomorrw, and I can borrow the rest, and pay it back after I sell my current car. I'm going to try to get ahold of the guy selling the Z28 tonight and see if I can go look at it tomorrow. I'll be sure to take it to a mechanic before I buy it first though.

Re: Thinking about selling the Camaro

i dont wanna down no man for an idea he's having but at the same time ill tell u the god honest truth... your insurance as a man doesnt start to go down untill u reach around 25 and older, now that im on 30's door step i finally get to pay 98 bucks a month, if i add a ls1 car it will go up just 40 bucks. thats just how it is. now not playing "thats my pick" when u talk about going to an lt1 car yes u are moving up to a v8, but in honest words your not gaining that much power, they arent rated that much higher than a 3800. mines right now is running a bit more than a lt1 without the spray. yes moded u can get butt naked with a lt1 but im just going for money spent. i always look at things in how much money, compaired to the hp per dollar i just paid. u drop 2 or 3 grand to get what maybe a extra 60 hp? thats not a bang for the buck. i understand not having the money for a ls1 but that would be the most sincable upgrade to make. u can find a decent lt1 out there but now and days whos going easy on there car? u can find it but like i said your gonna your gonna end up dumping money into that just as well. we havent even gotton into the fact of how they leak oil like a baby pisses. ( if anyone tells u otherwise they are full of shit) ls1 have a knock they are known for and lt1's have a oil leak problem..it is how it is, i didnt make it that way. all im saying is be ready for the same type of problems u are having so u wont get too pissed down the road.

Re: Thinking about selling the Camaro

The point is that pay almost exactly the same thing with my 3.4L engine that I would pay for a 350 because my car is a Camaro. If I'm going to be paying out the ass, I might as well get some power out of it.

*I called about that 94Z28, and it's got 116K miles on it, white exterior with tan leather interior, hardtop, and it's an automatic. I'm going to pass on this one and wait until gas prices go up in the summer to see if I can't get a better one. Gas prices have actually gone down here lately, they were closing in on 2.50, but now they're below 2.20.
