yea ok but which head gasket should i use the si or dx or maybe something better..and what kind of head studs? im guessing si.

Im honestly not sure... I think either will work for the head gasket, and studs would probably be from the DX since they screw into the block... But again, Im not too sure... This isnt really a too documented swap... Atleast I havnt seen anything on it...

do i really need a new water pump?? and head studs?? i kno im gonna replace the head gasket and timing belt... help

They say its best to replace the water pump any time u change the timing belt, more of 'while your in there' kind of thing... As for head studs, Im not really sure if its required... I have been reading a bit, and read that u could just swap out the cam intself and it would be the same thing (as we said earlier the cams are the only difference), this would mean u wouldnt need studs or a head gasket... Might be a cheaper way to go about doing it...

o ok thats what i was thinkin too... i was thinking what if i just replace the cam since that is the only difference but i wasnt too sure but hey thanx for the advice

yah, DONT waste ur time swapping the head for hte a6 one. It's identical to your stock one except for the cam. Just switch the cam. But, you'd make more power by switching to mpfi than switching the cam.

yea thats what im doing an mpfi swap and then the cam swap... im not really good at internal things any clue how to swap out the cam?? is there gonna be timing involved??
