Mr T's exactly right - like I said: you have to tell him to stop it. He most likely will stop (if he's not meaning to be a Panda) but if he doesn't, then it become sexual harassment. And I don't think the law is at all grey, once you've said stop.

I actually had a situation somewhat similar to this at my job about 10 months ago. A 22 yr old married-with-children pressman was giving me problems. Staring down my shirts, making every excuse to walk by my desk, asking me out, etc. I told him to knock it off, and when he didn't, I talked to both my supervisor and his supervisor. He was forbidden from talking to me or walking by my desk and they also moved him to the day shift so I only saw him a few times for the next few months. Then after about 6 mo's he was moved back to evening shift. About a month or two later he was fired for an unrelated reason. That night he kept bothering me saying how much we were going to miss each other, etc. I ignored him for the evening and I havent' seen him since.
Sexual harassment is anything that is making you feel uncomfortable and is inappropriate in the workplace...so tell the guy to knock it off, then talk to supervisors if the problem persists. Make sure he knows that you are serious and want nothing to do with him. Right now the law is tipped very much in favor of females and you can sue for nearly anything. So if talking to supervisors doesn't work, I guess I would try that route. |

OK thanks everyone for your advice.
![]() Next time he does something that is inappropriate I’m going to get up the guts to tell him to knock it off and that it is totally inappropriate. I’ll see how that goes. And boingo82 it's very encouraging to hear that your experience all turned out well in the end.

I hope yours goes as well. Work is stressful enough and that's not something you should have to deal with. And if you do have to deal with it, demand to be paid for it. Strippers make good money.
But seriously, it's not in your job description and I imagine your employer will take this seriously. Good luck.
