Well...we went from a roll, so its kinda hard to see a valve cover or tell about the wheels. Don't think I saw a sunroof, may have been closed. If I see it around town again, I'll try to get a good look.

the best way to tell is if they have side molding or not. a real type R has no side molding and is super smooth.
heres a pic. ![]() notice how theres no plastic molding by the door? thats what i always look at first because its the easliest and hardest to fake. heres a ordinary gsr ![]() you see that big ugly plastic strip on the side? even though it has a wing, its hard to get rid of that molding and its easy to spot from a mile away. also it has no lip kit.

good thinking there, i would try judge it on the sound. But that's totally unreliable.

you didn't run a type R bcuz a type R woulda smoked you yo' it got big vtec engine dat goes waaah then weeeee then wheeeyyyyyy then scrrrrit then waaaah hen weeee then wheeeeyyyyy... yah it mad fast yo
but really, i got smoked by a GSR w/ intake and exhaust i'm thinking a type R woulda smoked me bad and i got you by a car....it probably wasn't a type R

Those DC2 Type-R's are so so damn nice. I was in love with them for absolutely ages. I was tossing up between it and the WRX and decided to go with the rex because I'd probably never get to see the power of the top end of the DC2 which is where it really shines.
So yeah, I'd go with the side doubting that it was a real Type-R. And btw, I'm so jealous, where the hell do you find all these people to race?
