Check eBay. There are several 944 Turbos, reboxed by Testor. (if it's turbo, I think Hasegawa is better though) and I'm sure the S and Cabrio isn't so rare either.

It's recently reissued. It's the same it marketed as Car and Driver in the U.S. long time ago.
Fujimi is going to reissue the Toyota Supra (Celica XX) '82 with complete engine details real soon. Awkward to me is that the XX kit is much cheaper than the MR-S w/o engine, I recently bought.

I still like HLJ though. this site was nice, but slow for me and didn't have as great a selection as HLJ.

Are you telling me Hasegawa made a 944 kit? If so, then should I try to get that one instead of the Italeri/reboxed Testors?
