Re: 2k+ Heavy Duty Tranny Questions

you better knock on wood there MCO just hope ur car lasts. As long as you don't let the engine coolant get to low and sludge up, change the oil, and fix minor wear and tear it should but it is a GM.

*knocks on wood* shhh!

I do my best keeping it up, fluids are always good and I intend to get it touched up to avoid rust spots in the near future.

Car is in the shop as we speak for the tranny.

Re: 2k+ Heavy Duty Tranny Questions

Car has returned now from the shop, New transmission, the same HD type, $2,534 after said and done. I'm still amazed the dealer was cheapest in town, not to mention most people just wanted to rebuild the current tranny. Bonus, the new one has a 3 year, 100,000 mile warrenty.

Now the car needs some front pads in a few thousand miles and cosmetic fixing and it'll be good to go for awhile. Assuming of course the engine stays strong as it has been.

*knocks on wood*
