Sorry, I see what you drive, and I know why your asking, but it was a while ago, and I only remember the numbers I said. I think my ET speed was like 102 or 103. Sorry...

Re: Re: B16 Hatch vs 2001 Mustang GT

it depends on the year Gt. I own a bb6 1998 H22 base, and can run nose for nose with the 99-04 Gt verts, but get pulled on by the hardtops, just slightly, and more if they are modded. It depends on what year Gt your talking about, they only come in about 30 flavors, from like 1976 to current. Sure I can smoke any 80's/early 90's Gt, but so can most other cars. The current models I have yet to race, but the last bodystyle was pretty quick. I have a killer kill storie on a 1996 Cobra, maybe I will share it w/ the forum som time, it was in 1998, with my 1992 Turbo Si. (That cobra was the reason I got the turbo in the first place, my first F/I Honda...feel the love) Anyways your statement is like saying my *insert any car here* can beat *insert any other car here*. Too vague.

Re: B16 Hatch vs 2001 Mustang GT

If your EF has a 1.8 ls with the cable tranny, you will only beat the non-gt model. If the model is a GT auto, and you launch well, you can beat him, otherwise it's a drivers race. BTW It's ruststain, not crustang.

Re: B16 Hatch vs 2001 Mustang GT

Hmmm 100 more hp, and about 200 lbs-ft more torque? If it's an auto you could maybe give it a ran, but if it's a stick...tell your buddy to go to the bank and make a withdrawl before the race.

If it's an auto it would hurt him because auto are teh suck, and their trannies generally aren't geared to racing.

Wow. The car I own was run at the track before I bought it. Its an EF crx with a jdm b16 SiR II swap with the YS1 non LSD tranny. Full interior and it only an act stage 2 clucth and lightened flywheel, I/H/E and it ran a 14.6 @ 96 on street tires... thats in Arizona, and I think we actually run slower up here... of course its was an HF so it weighed in at 2000 pounds stock (Never been weighed since the swap but it can't be that much more)... but still...

My 90 Rex had a b16 w/ mugen chip, ys1 trans (not LSD), full interior, i/h/e, lightweight flywheel and pullies, stage 1 clutch, stock cams (not Type R), stock valvetrain and stock pistons - it ran high 13's.

Like I said earlier it depends on the driver...

And location, because theoretically, you run faster at sea level if I remember correctly.

Re: Re: B16 Hatch vs 2001 Mustang GT

[quote=exman98]well my friend's 94 lude (stock H22A) will beat any stock GT or 5.0 . ( i didn't believe it until we laid some heavy ass kicking on three diff. GT's and two of the 80's mobles 05's: they were all well maintaned but still stock) anyway... he lost a race to an old hatch with a B16 (bad start)
if he got a good start he might have beat win but lost non the less.]

Bullshit, 1/4 mile - stock 91 5.0 vs. a stock 94 lude? Thats not a race, thats pure American muscle destroying a loud 2 liter Mountain Dew bottle with rims made for getting light groceries. Unless the driver of the Stang was a 90yr old grandma from Somolia with one leg, i might believe that happened.

Whats the et. in the 1/4 for a 94 lude, mid 16's?

The race at hand might be close i'll admit, but adding these far fetched lies to the conversation is crap. In a Honda forum you may not recieve any opposition but any one that knows how to wipe their own ass realizes your post is wasted space, next time save your fingers the effort, don't log on or type the truth.
