HAHAHAHAHAHAHA that last conversation is really funny man....
As afr as I know the 33 could also be turned into RWD only. Remove the fuse and the front shaft at the transfer cage. 5 min job but the car must be lifted. Alternatively, install the HKS ETC (like I did) and preset it to RWD. Did it once for burnout...absolutely boinking good!

Am not too sure about the 34 though! But on my 33, it has been done a couple of times.

The video footage I saw was in the video High performance Imports Volume 2, I need to double check this to be 100% certain though...
The photos were in a magazine. I'll try to scan them on the weekend and then post them. There are some Skyline videos here: http://skylynr.tripod.com/skylinegtr/id6.html the drift one is not the best though...

I found the article. It's an R32 GTR with some funky paint. I'm upgrading my PC this weekend so I'll be able to use my scanner after that (major computer woes...)
Basically though it is 4WD with a centre diff control module which doesn't allow more than 10% of power through the front wheels....

The R32's "primitive" version of ATTESSA allows more sliding than later GT-Rs. A lot of people don't like it. It's one of the reasons the R32 is my favorite. Yes, pulling a fuse on the R32 will put ATTESSA to sleep. Same deal on the R34. The R33 does force you to remove the driveshaft for a dyno run (unless you have a AWD dyno). I have not actually seen a GT-R drift (plenty of powerslides, but no actualy drifting), but I'll bet you could do it. The general rule with the GT-R is, do what you want to do, trust the car, and it will intervene only if needed. I'll bet a lot of these modded GT-Rs could drift pretty easily. It doesn't really matter if you divide 1000 hp between 4 wheels, does it?
