Re: Stupid BullShit technicalities!!!!

Raz........you might have to pay a premium for the car if you put it on a card.
These cards charge the seller or retailer a fee for each transaction.
Mastercard= 3.5%
Visa= 2.5%
Amex= 3.75%

If you spend $9500 on a car, Mastercard will hit the dealer with a $356 charge. The dealer may insist they tack on this fee to the purchase price before they accept the card. Tell then to fvck off if they try it. Also, swing your best deal BEFORE you tell them you will be paying by card.

Except that I will be making a withdrawl from the bank...basically using the credit card and the amoutn on it like a seperate account. Giving them the cash for the car, that way I avoid all these stupid bullshit expenses the dealer will try and charge me for. I will give them cash for the car and pay vak the credit. Pretty much like a loan or line of credit.

Yeah; make sure there isn't a 3% fee or increased interest for cash advances before you take the $$.

That's what I'm doing. I'm trying to get a business loan, which are almost impossible. Which is bullshit. So then if I can't get that, I gotta get a PERSONAL loan to USE for my business, then if I can't get ENOUGH, i gotta get a credit card, like you. and if i can't get ANY, I gotta get credit card with a higher limit, which is a pain in the ASS. *Sigh* why WOULDNT a company wanna throw tons of money at you and hope you pay it back!?

Cyprus, check into the Small Business Administration. For a small business, I think they have to give you a loan if you've been turned down by 3 financial institutions. Worth a look-see.

And there it is, the credit card trap. Now you're thinking that you have another 1500-2000 to spend, and about running the card up to its limit like it's your money in the bank.

That's not money in your account, that's going to be putting $$$ in the bank's account, on which you'll pay interest each and every month. So right now the interest rate is low, what happens in a year when they raise it to 18%. How about your student credit card? Is it paid off or you carrying a balance there?

.
.
.

Sorry, don't mean to sound like a pesky parent, but I was in the credit card trap once. ONCE. Never again.

Re: Stupid BullShit technicalities!!!!

It's 2$ fee for a cash advance and a 25$ annaul fee on the card itself. The rate is fixed at 8.15% annually. My student card won' be used anymore seeing how the limit is only 500$, there is no interest or annual fee on that one.

Re: Stupid BullShit technicalities!!!!

Damn, no interest on the student card? That's cool.

Just watch the small print on the 8.15% card, and look in the mail for stuff to "change the card agreement".

Good luck with it dude.

Yea thanks for the advice. The student card has no interesrt because of such a low limit on the card. I will go over all the details of that damn interest with my friend who works for the bank and then figure out if I want to keep the card or not.

Re: Stupid BullShit technicalities!!!!

You could always use the card to get the car, make payments for about 6 months, then tell the bank that you'd prefer to have a car loan rather than a credit card, and take out a car loan to pay off the card (with no cosigner, of course). Just an idea.
