Personally I think the Ferrari was just messing with the EVO and didn't open it up. To fly past a Ferrari like it's going backwards just doesn't sit right.

I bet the passenger in the 360 was smiling because he knew they where just playing with them.
Just FYI. A 2000 360 will dyno between 310-320whp stock, while a 2003 EVO8 will dyno about 220whp stock. |

Link is dead, so I didn't get to see it, but if that EVO has mods then I can definatly see it beating a Ferrari. My friends turbo in his doesn't sound terribly loud (exhaust is louder than it now) and has a weird sounding BOV, and put 347HP to the wheels down at a dyno a few weeks ago. Now he is boosting 2 more PSI but other than that is unchanged. So yeah, I can definatly see an Evo smoking a Ferrari. Wish I could've seen the Vid though :|

Yep this was posted on a DSM board as well. That EVO is HIGHLY modified, pulling over 400+ whp I believe.

The Evo in that Top Gear video was a special eddition Evo known as the FQ400. there are three FQ models that I know off. the 320, the 380 and the 400. each # representative of the brake horse power the car makes.
the FQ400 made all that power from factory. it needed a tune up every 4000 miles and only made like 9 miles to the gallon. it was sickly fast though and as the host put it "practically impossible to crash". he said the FQ could out run the Murcielago in the corners though, never said it was overall faster. the video is so cool though, too bad the link is dead.

It's my brothers Evo.
It's not stock but its not insanely modded either. It's putting 332whp and 343lb-ft torque to the wheels. (370-380hp at the crank i'm guessing?) The ferrari was indeed trying because we spoke to the driver afterwards and he was really impressed (and not to mention he was burning red haha). The Ferrari 360 isn't really THAT fast. Yea its 400hp, but the torque is low (like 237lb-ft or something) but if my bro is doing 332 to the wheels and 343lb-ft tq, then it's pretty close ya know? I was the one taping in the backseat. If we had kept going the ferrari would have eventually started walking on us but considering we were already doing 130mph, it would have taken a while heh. As for our friend who was buggin out in the passenger seat, he's new to high performance cars so in his mind he witnessed a 4 door import beating a car with a "ferrari" badge on it, so he got really excited. nice kill. Ferrari's arent that quick fyi, then enzo does a nice 11.2 but the 360's arent much to brag about when your dropping over 100k.
2004 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale 4.0 12.40 2001 Ferrari 360 Spider F1 4.6 13.20 the stradale does a nice 12.4 but most pps here with mods will take or come close to that. And that 13.2 on the 360 spider F1 is pretty pathetic. An evo with decent mods will be taking the spider and depending on what mods would be up with the stradale.
